I'm in the same boat. There SHOULD be a kit for this as they put that shorter shock on as a recall replacement for some of the older ones. Anyone know the part number of the kit?   Tripper Posted on Thursday, August 21, 2003 - 05:36 pm:        Part Number K1400.C is for X1/S1/M2. The S3 is a different kit. The kits include the new "Short Showa" shock, new front mount, and a new chin fairing mount, as well as all new fasteners and misc junk. If you already bought the short shock, (but why would you do that???) you also need: shock mount #KO407.01A1 X1 chin fairing bracket #M0609.01A1 I think you can reuse everything else from your current bike.
