I took today off because invariably the phone starts ringing with emergencies on the day I want to leave. It also helps since I've been fighting a stinkin cold for the past week. Depending what time BluzM2 & Norice show up, we should be on the road not too long after dark. I think that an activity like this is especially great because with all the guys camping together there will more opportunity to shoot the bull. At most rallys people are always headed off to their rooms and you don't get to talk to each other as much. | ||

Ok Spidy and I are leaving his Home hopefully between 6-7 tomorrow morning. So if all goes well and traffic holds up to not so bad, we should be there mid-late afternoon thursday. Get the beers cold, and the fires warm. Getting the truck packed up tonight, and the bike strapped down and getting up @ 5 to get the Spidy and away we go.... | ||

I just set up a PRO Flickr account, I plan on taking as many pictures as possible (with the new camera!), and now I have a place to host as many as I want. I plan on uploading the days pictures every night while we're down there, and I'll start a thread with my daily 'journal' and post a link to each set of pictures. AND If anyone else is taking pictures down there, find me, and I'll host them for you too! I can add them to my 'Daily Upload', or setup another section just for yours. The more pictures THE BETTER! I'll have a name tag on. | ||

Tomorrow morning in Columbus is calling for "A steady rain early." Scratch "CLEAN BIKE" off the list I guess! I'll just throw a can of cleaner and some rags in the 'tool box' That also means all bags have to be in full rain gear. I'll be looking a quite goofy tomorrow. What the hell. It'll be totally worth it. Maryville TN says no rain at all, so that will probably become the "REMOVE RAIN GEAR" stop. I'll probably unpack it and wrap the laptop in a garbage bag, just incase. | ||

I would rather start the journey in the rain than have it start after we roll out. I will have my rain gear on just in case, regardless if it is or isn't raining when I leave the house. Hey Mike, put my Total Control in one of those bags. | ||

Finally got the tire situation sorted out, bags get remounted tonight, I'm mostly packed as it is. Got hit wally world for a couple odds and ends, then I leave first thing tomorrow morning. Should be getting in Friday evening. | ||

G@%D@#& Mu^&%$F#$%*@!!!!!! Stupid customers!  They let me hang all of last week waiting for the jobs they need done to be trucked to me, and NOW they get them here with urgent completion dates! I WILL be riding to Maryville to meet for brunch with everybody. But I will have to be back at work Thursday afternoon/evening and Friday.  It just makes me want to  !!!!! But don't nobody even try to stop me from riding down early Saturday and spending the night!  You'd think a self employed person had control of their own destiny, at least enough to take a weekend off........but NOOOOOOOOOO! Some sumbich has to louse up a long term plan! If the economic situation for the last year had been better I would be going regardless, however I do need their work next month too.  SHIT!  | ||

well now i have to work a little longer today then i planned. then i have to drive an hour round trip the wrong way to get a battery for my camera.(i dropped the ball on that one) then i have to get home and load everything on the trailer and pack. guess i'll just have to pick up the pace once im outa here to make up the difference. damnit... maybe i can hook the 1125 up to the front of the tow vehicals(blazer to my moms house, then pick up her van) to give them a little kick in the butt! lol. what would you think if you got passed by an 1125 hauling a 4 place trailer with bikes on it...! | ||

That sucks Vern! I tell ya what. You need to strike when the iron is hot. My work is so slow right now I have had second thoughts about making this trip. BUT.... It really doesn't cost that much to pitch a tent. Eating and gas will be my biggest out of pocket so to hell with it! See ya in less than 24!..... i think i have it squared away the battery situation. thanks for the offers. i just managed to weasel my way into getting one of the buell promo camel back hydration bags that showed up today. you know, i HAD to have one to use on my trip... and by the way, I AM OUT OF HERE!!! time to go pack super fast! | ||
