Things vary.

The "bad" real estate economy was in the news today here.

It was announced that studio apartments are getting pricier due to the squeeze but the "good news" is that AVERAGE price of a 1-bedroom apartment in Manhattan has fallen to a scant $4,100 per month.

Don't everyone rush here at once . . .

: )

Let's see, if I can find a job that pays $8/hr then I'd only have to work for a bit over 120 hours a week just to pay the rent. With 168 hours in a week I'd still have time to sleep a little.

"a 1-bedroom apartment in Manhattan has fallen to a scant $4,100 per month"

A teacher making 100K in Green Bay sounds like a lot of money, but I guess in some markets it would barely make ends meet.

I'm not feeling too sorry for all of them just yet. . . bear in mind they just got done distributing $38,100,000,000 in bonuses and that they are in the game of dragging down $600,000K salaries BECAUSE (this is what they tell me) they "take lots of risk".

We're motorcyclists.

Most the times risk, taking that corner at dizzying speed, is a source of great pleasure and reward. But there are times, and we understand this, that it bites you in the ass and you end up healing while you wait for your replacement parts to come in.

It's a relative thing.

Bill NJ is were I live and for 100K you might get a mailbox here if you can afford the taxes on it but sewer water and garbage pick up will be a bit extra depending on where in NJ you are. Teachers here start at around 45k I believe maybe more maybe less but around that. I can tell you it isn't very much as an anual living here the argument I have is paying a guy 100K to be a gym teacher where there is no gym teacher needed not that he makes 100K thats a fair family wage here with not much to spare
