I'd have to disagree as well. As much as it pained me, one by one, to see the XBRR's leave the track during their debut Daytona 200 run I was encouraged by some of the things that occurred.

Seconded, I was there too. Funny how nobody mentioned the butt whooping that the XBRR team laid down during the "Team Challenge" (at least I think that was the name of it) earlier in the week. That was the first time I saw the XBRR in action.

The Buell teams picked up some podium spots in some non-AMA classes that year, yet the 200 was the only thing anyone wanted to talk about.

I'm sure the 1125R issues will be sorted out. Tip of the hat to the dudes that fielded those bikes.

Yeah! What Lowlife said!
The XBRR is stellar at Willow month in and month out! Buells in racing is alive and well.

Anyone know how stock the 1125r's were at the Moto-ST opener? I just read an article about the San Jose BMW and it is highly modded out. With the Buells turning as fast or faster lap times, I was wondering if that was done on a mostly stock bike.

Seeing that tire goo was their main issue, they'd better get it sorted out.

Richard Cooper and Nate Kern were really impressive on that Beemer. They were stuffin' people on the brakes with ease. Their primary bike was actually destroyed in a crash the day before and they used Nate's streetbike which was basically bone-stock other than being prepped for instructor duty.

Big BMW Turning and Burning

There were a few pretty Ducks out there, too.

...and Bimota...

There was a Ducati NCR Millona out there, too, but to my dismay my wife didn't take a picture of it.

I have a real sweet spot for those Sport Classics.

Oh god its too good to pass up.

Having a professional opinion like myself, I think most would agree.

the wire hanging from the beamer is to keep the bike grounded.

Waitaminit!
That's the plug wire!
These Beemers are so good that they are competitive with on one cylinder tied behind its back!

That's funny! . . . even if it were not the plug wire I'd claim it was and that it was my chosen method for "leveling the field".

Great photo.
