While I am a fan of some of the pictures taken last year, it was discouraging to find out people were trying to make a profit from said pictures. |

Given the choice between pictures available for purchase or no pictures at all, I'll take the option to buy the pictures if I want them.
If someone wants to take time from their riding enjoyment to take pictures and offer them for sale, I have no problem with that.
You are able to view them for free. Technically, you don't have a right to do anything else unless you pay for them. Taking them and displaying them takes someone else's talent, time, and effort. If they wish to be compensated for these expenditures, I have no problem with it.
If you don't want to support them, don't buy them. I didn't not because I felt buying them was wrong but because I didn't find any that I really liked. Not the talent but the subject.  |

Well I found some that I liked and politely asked for the digital photos. I was told that if I wanted them I would have to buy the prints. Those prints were not cheap and I have no need for prints. All of my pictures are digital and have been for many years. Just rubbed me the wrong way. And before something is said, I offered to buy the digital photos and was denied. Not the way business is done or some BS like that.
Hey I have a pretty nice camera and will be taking plenty of pictures. If someone asked me for one or wants on that I took/take, a digital one at that, I wouldn't feel right charging them for it. It doesn't cost me anything but time to email a photo. I'll be more than happy to share.
Sorry but it may be just me, it doesn't seem like the BadWeb way to try and profit from others going to the event, especially when no one asked them to do that. |

That's just it. Mike did the photos on his own. No one asked him to do it. He didn't have to. He chose to charge for his work (which included sorting, enhancing, and categorizing in addition to just snapping the photos). Were he not theren you wouldn't have the photos to be upset about.
He chose not to sell the digitals. That probably hurt his model a little bit. You made a choice not to buy. Others probably made a similar choice.
Supply and Demand.
If selling the digital versions increases sales, he'll probably do that this time.
Either way, the pictures are his to do with what he wishes. How he sells them and what he decides to do with them is his business.
I hear what you're saying, but the level of work and the time involved brings him to feel that he should charge for his services. If no one buys and he feels the work isn't worth the payoff, he'll stop taking pictures. If he wants to give them away and is willing to do the work for free, he can do that to.
I don't believe that "free" music downloads are fair either. |

My favorite picture is the one you took of Hammer last MB at Gixxer Corner. Great shot.
BTW - Court asked Erik to sign the picture you took of us at Liberty's Open House. He addressed it to my daughter, so you know she thinks that picture is the "bomb". |

Ok, so a best guess at a schedule here.
Basically, 2 demo groups, A and B. Each group has two sets of riders, 2 Leads and 2 Sweeps.
I estimated: 25min round trip time, 10 minutes between trips for a particular group, and 10 minute lag between group A and B. I figure the 10 minutes between trips is very optimistic, as there seems to be usually one rider that has to be searched high and low for.
This basically is the same for the PM groups... just change the times.
Demo Group A - AM
9:00-9:25 - Lead A-1 Sweep A-1
9:35-10:00 - Lead A-2 Sweep A-2
10:10-10:35 - Lead A-1 Sweep A-1
10:45-11:05 - Lead A-2 Sweep A-2
11:15-11:40 - Lead A-1 Sweep A-1
