Squids, and Ft_b,

It was a little chilly after dark on that flight wasn't it? I'm even better armed for that this year. Those polly's work great. With the BAW and heated jacket all I need is for those HID's to heat the back of my helmet!

Zaxby's tasted SO FRICKIN' GOOD! I was starving!

The ride in wasn't really that bad. It was my misread of the directions allowing me to experience all the joy of riding Wolf Pen Gap, which I had never been on before, in the pitch dark at 11:30 at night. : |

Nearly shat myself when the bridge came up. That sucked!

Glad the Polly's work. : D

We are up to 6 now and another one thinking about it. It is time to start figuring what vehicles to use to get there.

I had already planned on bringing some cooking gear and food to get us by. After my big trip out west last summer it was really nice to have the backpacking stove and some easy food to cook. We were quite aways from civilization a couple of nights and I didn't want to ride for a couple more hours to eat. It also made the time for comaraderie around the campsite more enjoyable.

The Florida contingient will be around for dinner Thurs, however we will probably be cooking at TWO... Anyone interested, pitch in or bring your own and we'll get it cooked!!

UPDATE: There is a very good chance we will be up there Wed afternoon!! If this is the case, we will probably spend Wed nite in Dalonaga.

IS IT MARCH YET????

I can't wait!!! If anybody is up for some big bore dual sport riding (forest service roads...), let's get together. I'll probably have my bike in enduro lite trim rather than motard trim this year.

I'll be up for a little dirt as well. I explored some dirt down there last year. Put on around 140 miles of dirt roads. There was one spot, that was labeled a road, but was more like a washed out ravine. Did I mention I was riding it two up???

I wonder if I still have the route in my GPS?

Either weekend day works for me. I might be two up as well. I'll probably be on Michelin Anakees for this one as I'd burn up the knobbies just getting to Suches. It'll be a good time! If any local guys know good routes, please post them.

I need tires as my D616's are finally shot at 10k miles. It'll either be a set of Pirelli Scorpion Sync's or Avon Distanzia's... Not sure which one yet.

Maybe this has already been mentioned, but this event has a picture on the Buell website, nothing major, but this is a huge indicator to how BIG this is getting, and a small hint,IMHO, of how important it is getting to Buell an a company!!!!

The Wolf Pen loop starting at TWO ending at TWO takes about 45 minutes at a reasonable pace. Take a look at my profile for a map.
If you leave TWO and go straight to Wolf Pen to Vogal state park, turn around and go back it takes about the same amount of time.

Jim I can't find the picture, could you post a link?
Last yeat Cameron was approched by Buell Corperate wanting to take over March Badness. While being very flattered, it was a no go. Good thinking on Cameron's part.
Thanks, but no thanks.

"Last yeat Cameron was approched by Buell Corperate wanting to take over March Badness."

Really? Wow. I think it was a good move to keep the management of the event close to home and out of corporate hands.

once it goes corporate, you'll start getting in all those people selling leathers, helmets, jewlery and god knows what else up there. than before you know it spring breakers will be up there and they'll be nothing but cagers holding up traffic.
