Yes - I saw the older version on the webbike world review.

Not really my style (the old). So - are they worth the $$ ?

i wear the short ones almost everyday during the summer, and i wear the long ones once it gets cold. i've had them most of 2 years and the still are in great shape. i am pretty happy with them.

the only thing that bothers me is with the gauntlets there are alot of steps to putting them on. you have a zipper on the side. a velcro strap around the wrist, and 2 velcro straps just behind your wrist, so everytime you put them on you have to undo all the velcro again and then rehook it once its on. not a REAL big deal, but when im in a hurry sometimes it peeves me.

I too have the short early version, and no they aren't practical like when you're at the petrol station fumbling for payment.

Mine have done a few thousand miles and are in good, make that very good condition, except on one glove the stitching has come away from the velcro, which is annoying.

I found they took some breaking in too. Only this year would you believe have they become supple. They have a quality feel and look - which I'm sure they are. I've never crash tested them but I do like them a lot despite their somewhat unpractical aspect. But they were built for riding and they do so comfortably.

In a left hand curve, you can reach out your left hand, ( right in the U.K.) and drag the knuckles on the pavement & it makes pretty sparks. It also scratches the dickens out of them, so, really, it's better to just think about it.

I have crash tested them (the shorties) and they did what they where intended to do. The crash destroyed the gloves but I came out of it with a broken finger and a raspberry on my palm. I purchased another set after the crash. I have the longer ones too and they are a pain in the ass taking them on and off. Not very warm in the winter either.
Ditto what no rice said

I have the "first generation" gauntlets like the ones that "No Rice" posted. I crash tested them at Barber. I liked the idea of the titanium protection for the knuckles but what happened in the crash was....when the metal hit the pavement, the glove was snatched off my hand. I wound up with a BIG knot on my wrist and still have problems with it, over two years later.

I have the first gen shorts as well, and echo Rockets comments about breaking them in. You have to wear them a bit to get them feeling good. I haven't had any trouble with them, and use them all year round. In fact, rode to work this morning at 23F with no problems.
