Hey Hammer, if Fritz goes that will be five. Can we borrow your trailer? That would be awesome if you can go. I think your nuts. Is the shoulder healed up? I know how to get you a slot if you are serious, call me. |

I have spent a lot of time at pocono with Team Promotion. I have run both the east course and FUSA. The west course is the east course run clockwise. Here is an ariel view of the tracks.
I'll be there on the 27th. (Message edited by Walt on September 17, 2007) |

I should have posted that the website shows a different course but I was told by the "EVENT MANAGER" it was going to be the East course. If they decided to change their minds and do something else it wouldn't be the first time. LOL!!! I've never be to Pocono before and don't care what course it is , its going to be a new track for me like VIR was. I just want to ride, get some seat time in and help do my part with Buell/PTT. I'll be in the Intermediate group and maybe helping out some with the Novice group along with three other guys. Double sessions can wear you out, but its a good thing. LOL!!!Don't know who or how many PTT people will be in the A' group yet. Can't wait to meet some more Badweb riders. It should be a good time. (Message edited by shred on September 18, 2007) |

I've heard from different racers that it's a bumpy track. It can't be worse than Ct. roads. I signed up for the intermediate group. Wonder how long the straights are? I hate to bounce it off the rev limiter for to long. |

I can imagine that it will be much bumpier then Loudon. The straight on the east course doesn't look long enough to get out of 4th gear. |

If we do end up running the East coarse, then well probably have trouble getting out of second on the 1125. On my 12R I just hit the limiter in third on the very short +-800ft back strait. Despite how short it is, the East coarse is fun, it will not be a effective track for properly exercising the 1125R. (none of the layouts at Pocono could) This will not keep me from having a blast on it while at Pocono. as they say "make lemonade" Ill wait for Laguna to wring it out proper. Did mention that im going to be at Pocono as the thread asked? I will, and also at the Laguna Seca event... NICE!!!!! See you all there. I loved the east course last track day. It is tight & technical. The "bus stop" is a really tight 180 degree hairpin that I have yet to nail properly. The back straight is fairly short and I mostly hit my rev limiter in 4th at around 115+ before I had to brake. A couple of times when I exited the entry turn onto the back straight properly, I shifted into 5th just before braking. I can't wait. I must admit that I'm a bit apprehensive that I might push the 1125 past my skill level. |
