I had thought about this but I have no idea where to mount such a thing other than the hot muffler

So did you get one of the aftermarket ones or just buy a magnet?

Man.

All you have to do is touch the side stand on the ground.

Rarely do you even have to rest any weight on it. Just grounding it momentarily will work.

Tried the sidestand thing. Tried the turn off turn on engine thing. Tried the right turn and a quick U-turn thing. My Blast just won't trip signals.

I've sat at lights around my house on my Harley with my wife on her Harley right next to me and still didn't trip the light. Some of them are just that way.

Try the side stand thing - drop it half a second - works every time.

my bike trips green lights with that thing even with the aluminum jardine can. the trick is to get right on top of the sensors, right on the line of the rectangle where the electro magnetic sensors are.

On the loops out in my area the whole wire is the sensor. It is usually strongest at the corners.

Often with private automatic gates, which use the same type of loops, all one needs to do is "slam" a shovel down on the corner of the loop & the gate opens.
This works on the exit loop. It only works on the entrance loop when the gate is set to open without the code needing to entered first.

The "put kickstand down" trick has never worked for me. There just isn't enough mass to trigger the left turn loops here in my neck of the woods.

Going straight has never been an issue but those damn left turn arrows just don't want to cooperate. : )

In Wisconsin you can go through a red light on a bike that doesnt trigger the signal after waiting 45 seconds. I have to do it almost every morning I ride my bike. I was only pulled over once and when I mentioned the 45 second thing to the officer, she said she was aware (she rides too) but didnt see how long I waited, just saw me go through the red. No problem, no ticket

I have one of those on my belly pan. It works.

The starting the engine thing only works with bikes that have their starter on the front od the motor. The aluminum casing
prevents the starter's magnetic fields from doing it's magic on the sensor.

If the sensor is not set sensitive enough the kickstand trick will not work.

If you use a particular turn on a routine basis and it will not respond you can contact your highway dept or city road
maint office (whoever takes care of the signals) and request that they adjust the sensitivity to allow motorcycles to
trip it. When they set them up they usually don't have a bike handy to calibrate with.
