Why aren't people getting excited about Homecoming? I mean, there were thousands of posts about March Badness, and people were posting up a storm about it. Everyone was excited and couldn't wait. But Homecoming is pretty much a dead topic. look at what's available: Erik & the Thunderbolts at the Boiler Room Hals activities - Drag racing, free food, Stunt shows, ride to the Factory, etc. Uke's activities Plant tour & more free food Ponza Rottas on Friday night; and the chance to "Remind Court to tell you about it" Races at Road America; Formula USA and Moto ST The chance to ride around Road America Demo the Buell(s) of your choice at RA Commemorative T-shirts. The chance to meet and socialize with other Buell Enthusiasts. This is going to be a boatload of Fun, and everybody is acting pretty indifferent about it. |

Wow! You're Right! I can't go, so I've been avoiding the posts about it. This should be huge! I think I've heard more people talking about MBV than Homecoming this year! |

Not indifferent. Just not stuck inside because of snow. Think about it. Most of the people posting about March Badness couldn't wait to get out of the house because it was still snowing up north and then you had the people that lived in the GA area telling us what a great time was in store for us. Enough of this typing crap!! I'm going for a ride!! See ya in E.Troy!! |

I am just a little mad about how long it takes for them to anounce the dates of homecoming. I took a week off hoping that it would be the first week in June. I have to take my vacation 6 months ahead of time, and have to bid against senior officers. I guess I just don't see what is so hard about posting dates just a little sooner than three months out. |

Because I am stuck at work on the West coast, no time off for the ride, and my bike is in the shop, and my coffee cup is empty |

No twisties to enjoy OUR Buells' You don't think Road America is twisty enough? And the route we took to the Farm and the Quonset Hut in Mukwonago was pretty good, too.Wisconsin is pretty flat, compared with the roads around TWO, but everything else more than makes up for that. I don't know; maybe people don't enjoy running their bikes at a Drag Strip, riding their own Buells on a first class ROAD RACE TRACK, watching Buells compete in Moto ST or listening to a damn good band playing a kick ass version of Hey Joe. All while surrounded by a ton of Buell Enthusiasts and their bikes. I'll be there |

Like Hardcorps we pick vacation dates in October for the next year, had mine set for first week of June, then Homecoming moves to first week of July and that is a prime week that nobody will trade away. |

riding their own Buells on a first class ROAD RACE TRACK That requires full leathers, and track prep after you rode to homecoming. How many tools do you bring to prep, what if you crash?? Etc...At MBIV all you really needed was a Helmet to enjoy the ride, not race prep. I know there are back roads to enjoy but not everyone can get on the track. Homecoming sounds like fun but it sounds like there is less riding involved, MB is about riding all day and playing all night. I agree, that Erik's band would rock, I am not a big drag racing fan but I do enjoy bike at speed, personally I would trailer up and do the Track Day and have a Blast. I am sure the tour would be great too, but again you are off your bike. This year during the festivities my wife will be 8.5 months pregnant and I live in GA. 900 miles away from the hospital and the grandparents is not a good idea, nor is traveling with a woman who has to pee every 30min, and NO, I could not come alone. Yall have fun, Maybe I can come next year to get my new frame autographed like my toasted one! |

Why I prefer T.W.O. over Homecoming... 1. Great riding!! 2. Time/ Distance/ Cost factors 3. Great riding 4. No rules... no leathers... no track prep for the bike 5. Great riding 6. Not a "large crowd" so to speak (but the event is getting bigger). 7. Did I mention great riding?? 8. There is something about the mountains that just keeps calling me... One of these years I will make it to Homecoming though!! Hope all those that go have fun and return home safe!!! |

First, to ride on the track you don't need leathers unless you're actually racing, which is what I and other Buellers will be doing. The Moto-ST will be great. Hell, all the racing will be great. Believe it or not, there are some damn nice roads in the area as well. To everyone coming.....Stop by us racers. Love to talk and can always use a hand. We won't be hard to find. We make it a point to stick out like a sore thumb. |

Can you ride the race track in the reverse direction?? LOL!! But seriously, a race track sure does offer a safer environment to "push the limits" and it is good to know full leathers are not required for this event. However until I can afford more getaways in a year, Homecoing is just not on the ole radar. Next year may be different as I believe it is Buell's 25th and I may be forced to squeeze it in somehow, even if it means raiding the spare change bottle!!!!! |

"Why aren't people getting excited about Homecoming? " By the time they announced the dates other plans were way past being set in stone. Bummers. Should be a good time for those who make it. Next year I'm not even going to worry about it, if I'm here I'm here. Saw something on the road early this morning though that did look mightey interesting. |

I'm sure that not everyone that goes to Homecoming is on the BadWeb. Believe it or not, some Buell owners have never heard of the BadWeb. I've never been to Homecoming before, does anyone know how many people generally attend??? |

No leather for a track day???? Really???? Are you joking??? That lasted for about two sessions at Barber with the Buell sponsored day, and they claimed Blue Jeans were ok until folks showed up. |

I think this is about the parade laps and demo's that are going to be on the Track at R.A. Not about rack Days offered through Buell which don't coincide with Homecoming. |

Oh, thanks for the clarification. I knew they were not the same as the Buell track days but I have yet to get on a track without my leather, that is why I questioned it. |

The June 7th Inside Pass track day at Road America - there were people wearing jeans .. maybe it was 2 pair - but there were people in jeans ... Leathers were only required for the intermediate or advanced group ... plenty of people with textile's on though (self included) |

Crusty, "What am I missing?" Sarcasm. So many people seem to brag about their top speeds I thought I'd just throw a sarcastic gag in there. Perhaps my humor is slightly off center at times. But hey, life is always more exciting when riding in the oncoming lane. |

I'm sure the house will be packed, as per usual -- +1 on the not all Buellers are Badwebbers + a bunch on the short notice + a big bunch on the timing but, I"m sure it'll be packed, and a great time for those that go -- always is (and for those who think wisconsin doesn't have good roads, er, ehem, delorme atlas -- think west of mad-town) |

Hmmmm... "parade laps" and demo laps (most likely low speed due to liability reason) vs. mountain roads... I'll take the mountain roads anyday and twice on Sundays!!! |
