I want to go, but I'm not paying $100 a night. Anyone want to share a room? Can we pitch tents in the Buell parking lot? A word of warning. I snore, and I don't mean maybe. |

Be sure to go to Buell.com and reserve your spot at homecoming so they'll know how many to expect. |

There is a list of hotels listed up on the Buell web site. Any recommendations from that list? I have no idea where those hotels are in relationship to the planned events. |

As was noted in another thread some of you may want a hotel closer to the Hal's/Uke's/Factory area. The Hotels near the track are over an hour north of the festivities except for the races on sat and sun. |

I just reserved a room at the Super 8 in Racine. I'm saving over $150 as compared to the cheapest hotel listed on the Buell site (Quality Inn in Sheboygan). With all the things going on between Hals, the Factory, the Drag strip, and maybe Uke's, it makes more sense to me. Plus, the money I'm saving on the room will let me buy a couple of T-shirts, or maybe a gallon of gas, or something. |

Seriously If HD wants to give back to the Riders..........Really I think that the factory could either build a motel for this purpose or buy one. WTF? its only OUR money?????? They wont run out of food this year will they? 05 they did. (Message edited by mmmi_grad on April 22, 2007) |

We're going to work on some more hotel options today and tomorrow... The hotels they have are too expensive, and too far away from many of the festivities IMHO. |

I will commute Really sweet ride from Milwaukee to RA. Unfortunately then I face an hour drone on the freeway after the party Saturday night so no beer for me ;( All those hotels are near the race track and if you are hanging out at EL on Saturday night or want to be at the track in the morning they are good choices BUT the US Senior Open is that weekend in Kohler, just down the road and any rooms within an half an hour are gonna be pricey. |

Dave, we were just out in Elkhart Lake yesterday. A LARGE section of HWY 67 up to Elkhart is going to be under construction unfortunately. Or fortunately, if you've ridden HWY67 recently. The road surface SUCKS! Brew City will have some decent routes that will avoid the construction areas, and almost completely avoid the freeway rides as well. |

For those of you going across the Lake Michigan pond, I just got this email... We’re just putting these rates into our system – should be all set by tomorrow I’d expect. Special rates valid for travel 7/3 – 7/8/2007. Here are the specifics: Lake Express High Speed Ferry crosses Lake Michigan in just 2 ½ hours, saving you the time and hassle of driving through Chicago traffic. The ship makes three roundtrips daily between Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Muskegon, Michigan. Lake Express is happy to provide the following special rates for riders attending the Buell Homecoming in East Troy and Road America, both locations are short trips from the Lake Express Terminal in Milwaukee. Fares are as follows: One-Way Passenger Fare: $50.00 Roundtrip Passenger Fare: $85.00 One-Way Motorcycle Slot: $35.00 Roundtrip Motorcycle Slot: $50.00 Add $5.00 one-way or $10.00 roundtrip for bikes with trailers. Lake Express provides tie-downs for all motorcycles. Please Note: Motorcycle/Vehicle Slots do not include the driver’s fares. Call 866-914-1010 to make your reservation – please be sure to refer to Buell Homecoming. Like I mentioned before, we love working with bikers, clubs and owners groups. If there’s anything we can do to lend a hand with events or rides, don’t hesitate to call. Regards, Aaron |

You'll definitely see me on Saturday Mike, if not before that at other events. John, I'm not the best with names, but don't be afraid to walk up and introduce yourself. I'll be the one hobbling around with a cane |

last year I had some electrical gremlins plaguing me from a shorted sensor in my shifter. That should be a non issue this year, besides there won't be as many long commutes to events this year either. BTW what is going to be this year's "pink hat?" not that many people wore them... |
