Has anyone done this. If so could you post some pics or PM me. It looks like all you would need to do is change the upper triple clamp and get a new handlebar. I like the leverage I have on my Uly and I am curious to know if this could be done.

Its cold, I'm bored, to much time in the garage and not enough time riding makes me think strange why not thoughts......

You might want to look at the site of American Sport Bike, one of our sponsors.

They have a top triple tree that raises the bars an inch, and moves them back an inch and a half. for $320.

They also have a Superbike Conversion kit for $420.

I believe that Trojan, another sponsor, also has custom risers and bars.

One note of advise. Changing bars is a lot more complicated than it looks, because there is not a lot of room, and there are so many things that attach to a bar:
clutch, brake, switches, grips, mirrors, etc. etc.

Seems like after a conversion, a couple of them just don't fit any more, and need some additional fabrication.

Here is the Sponsor section:

No problem, Xbullet is going to the barn to find his old one. I have been looking at the bars on the Lightnings on Buells website and I think I will get something with less rise. I think if the bars ended up being set back and wider it would make PUSHING into the turns super easy.... I will let you know how they turn out. If I end up keeping them you are welcome to my clamp. I just need to go pick up a set of bars at IRON PONY.

Excellent!
Thanks!
I need to get to the Barn soon as well.
Or maybe I'll tackle the shock on my own.
It's an easy job, it's just that stuff like this is more fun at the Barn.
Funny how working on bikes turns into a party there!

No rush. I just can't leave well enough alone. I am in my happy place now that I am able to ride to work almost daily. So the desire to tinker is subsiding somewhat.

I have the LSL kit installed, plus a spare S top tree... the bar position looks identical (or extremely close) You would need S throttle cables and S front brake line and bars of your choice (3" rise) the wireing can just be rerouted.

If you need it, You keep it. I will keep hunting. I have some track days coming up and want to ride it in Rs mode and then try it Rs w/s bars.

Did you see the R with the Ss swingarm. That would look SICK on my bike! Then I would have a Rs2
