Dave,
The shirts are supposed to be for customers that sign up for the contest. I can't enter the contest but, of course will need a shirt. They only sent out 25 shirts to us, I will be ordering more today, last year I gave out 75 I think. They are supposed to be FREE to the customers.

Ride to the Edge!

Imagine that Dave! HD/Buell would do well to have you travel and educate these folks at other dealerships...for the most part...they don't seem to get it.

OZARKS!!!!! OH YA!!

only problem with that place is there are too many topless women running around at "party cove" to actually concentrate on riding! ;) plus I have to spend so much money on other things that I can't afford new tires when I go!

Court,

I was at the gap last year. I heard of some of the crashes involving firebolts. Talked to the gentleman that broke his collar bone after falling off his firebolt in the camp ground. I also heard of the serious accident where a rider was airlifted to the hospital. I ride a firebolt and my wife rides a blast. She tries to keep me focused and insists that I act my age. Sometimes I listen. I must have that weekend.
I join everyone on this site in hoping that the injured rider is safe.

Eddie

I hereby order that all persons cease and desist immediately from entering said contest.

This contest is bogus.

It's rigged.

You can't win.

I've already got my entry form in, and I'll be damned if I'm going to lose this year.

Well... Went to the local dealership, filled out the form, no shirt. Guess they think I have to test ride something first. Guess it doesn't matter that I've spent probably 8 grand there. Oh well. Just have to take something of theirs out and beat it a little once the snow stops.

For the first StD, I had to ask for a shirt, and they dug one out for me. Granted, it was a satellite store, but I was not too impressed...seems more mothership oriented, but the home store seems to be much more Buell oriented, at least compare dto the satellite store.

I'm probably going to ride out to the main store for this one.

I got to the shop Mon. they had to open the box to get out the forms. the salesman got busy filling out the form "for a customer". First to sign up. Biggest shirt they had was XL, what were they thinking?

When I stopped by the 'participating' dealer, same story. Didn't know it was happening, had to open the box, wouldn't give up a T(saving them for the test riders and credit apps)...even though I've owned 3 Buells and still wrangle the S2T and even though I signed on for the Riders Edge class...

Customer Service scores again.

I do not regret purchasing the duc. No illusions about service, no disappointment.

Went to my dealer here in PA on Saturday
2 sales guys have no clue what I'm talking about.
The sales guy that I have bought my last two bikes from says,
There is a box in the back that we haven't gotten around to opening, check back sometime in the next two weeks.
Obviously no t-shirt!

we certainly are t-shirt ho's, ain't we?

before the flame war starets, I know it's not about the shirts, but about the level of knowledge at some dealerships . . . . . .

Signed up, got no t-shirt. Do think the understanding is to take a test ride to get a t-shirt. Kind of hard when there's ice on the road. That's allright, I don't wear t-shirts much anyways. :(

Actually, I know that the chances of winning are astronomical and I’ve a better chance at winning than convincing my wife or boss to let me go away to ride.

I was mainly looking for the shirt.

I have bought two new Buells there a free T seams like a small thing to ask.

Three of us got the blank look this weekend when we inquired about a possible promotional t-shirt after test riding Firebolts and Lightnings.

..most of the employees had them on Sat 1 March.

Must be the new Dealership Enthusiasm campaigne taking effect. :)

I guess if the employees are now wearing the new free t-shirts at least that's a step in the right direction to get them to be enthusiastic about the product. Kind of hard to sell someone on a V-Rod or RoadKing when the sales person is wearing a Firebolt T-shirt. :)

Its a lot better for me this year. For Last year's StD I had to drive to Atlanta because none of the AL dealers I called were participating. Now that my local H-D dealer carries Buell it was much easier. I walked in looking for something else (Ok, I was keeping my eyes open to see if they were signing up folks yet) and passed my salesman. He offered me a shirt before I could ask. And said he'd enter me in the contest based on my info in the computer.

Hee hee hee,

I LOVE IT !!! I popped in at Wausau Harely Davidson/ Buell on my way to Madison. The salesguy at Buell (Coke ?) told me that anyone can enter Slay the Dragon and I did.

Then I asked him how you get a T-Shirt and he said you have to test drive a Firebolt. Hee hee hee. I said, it is Friday afternoon, the first day over freezing in ages here and you are telling me I should test drive a Firebolt ?

OKAY DOKAY And off I went into the grimey, sandy, salty street on a brand new 2003 Firebolt... grinning from ear to ear...

The M2L will come out after the ice, mud, gravel, sand soup in my driveway gets washed away.

And, MAN, that was way fun !!! Do they make the Firebolt in a low version now ? Daves, which is the new low version and when is the actual trip to the dragon happening ?

Gettin hyper in the northwoods,
Charlotte :)

Char,
They don't make a Firebolt Low but you should be able to ride one. Was it too tall?
The Lightning Low would for sure work for you. I have both colors in stock if you want to pick one up in April when you are here!
I'm at home right now, I'll have to check the date for the trip to the Gap when I get to work. I can't remember, I knew it just a minute ago. You know I am old know, can't remember everything. Come on Spidey, help an old guy out. Course he probably can't remember either, all those beers at Hooter's.

Ride to the edge
