An SV is not classed for racing as a middleweight; that would pit it against the 600cc IL4's; the SV is classed as a lightweight as are Buell twins, at least outside of AMA Pro Racing who are too busy on their knees orally satisfying the Japanese factories to bother with organizing an equitable racing class system like CCS/FUSA.

What is the lap record at Second Creek?

Wow Blake, an ex marine and everything? And out at 24? Whats the matter, think he saw the Gulf War II coming and skedaddled as fast as he could?

In the end, does it matter? He's been dumping junk into my inbox for days when all I wanted was to meet the Buellers who specifically aren't like him.

And for the record, I'll blast a squidling advocating stoppies and wheelies in traffic on a Gixxer as fast as I cut and run on people, not Buellers mind you, people like Rick.

This is starting to get pretty comical. Here's a guy trying to carry on a reasonable conversation with one group, basically discussing the merits of various machines, etc., while another group of snipers are taking pot-shots at him at the same time.

“Brand A does pretty well in situation X, but in situation Y, it doesn’t do nearly as well as Brand – POW! – Ah, excuse me a minute, BAM! POW! BAM, take that! Now, as I was saying, Brand B, well, I owned one of those – POW! – I owned one of – POW! Dammit, BAM! BAM! BAM!”

I gotta hand it to you, Troy, if nothing else, you’ve livened things up a little bit around here. I’m glad I climbed into the observation booth when I did.

But I hope you’re not weakening. You missed a heck of an opportunity when the snipers put that girl up there on point.

[Just an observation ;-)]

Please Troll...spare me the "people like you" crap. I haven't heard that shit since grade school.

I don't care how many bikes you've rode/owned, for how long, how fast you are, how much money you have, etc. As an individual...well, your words speak for themselves. You don't wanna hear what I have to say in return?...well then you shouldn't dish it out either.

If you want people to play at your track...well, people don't like playing with assholes.

I know you're the exact kinda guy that'd turn his back and walk away from me in a face to face confrontation. I come across that often. Hell, you did it even behind the safe confines of cyberspace.

...and I've been on two wheels nearly all my life...be it a bicycle or motorcycle. The Buell is just the only motorcycle I've personally owned.

You say I'm not a Bueller...what do I care. What's in a label?

I've served my country...yeah...so what...I don't make anything of it.

Know that I have excelled at anything I've set my mind at. So, belittle me all you want...I know know my limitations a hell of a lot better than you do.

Holy Cow!

I can't believe all the crap that piled up in just the time it took me to type that last post.

Now it's totaly out of context.

I was starting to enjoy this thread. And learning a bunch of stuff as well.

I'm amazed that a bunch of suposedely grown men (and women) can act this way. What in the world's the matter with you people?

I thought the folks on this BBS were a cut above the rest of the bike boards.

Y'all leave me disgusted and ashamed for you.

Troy is welcome to his opinion just as much as anyone else. Rick you served in the Marines but being out of service & only 24 its obvious you never saw any combat, but you still had the guts to enlist & serve your time & for that I commend you & thank you. However when you signed up it was to help protect our country & our freedoms. One of our most precious freedoms is speech. Now you seek to repress a freedom for which you signed up to protect.

I dont think the tag team email shit is the way to go either. I have had "whiners" in the past email me because they simply lacked the intestinal fortitude to say what they had to either my face or on the web.

Jim_witt,
The Buell is behind the houseplants to the right of the fan right? I hope you have it covered, the UV will fade the paint.
Trackdays? I wish! The closest I've got is a 3 am run of Watkins Glen.
I can tell this thread is going to lead to hurt feelings. It's all in fun till someone loses an eye. Don't run at the pool. That's enough of me pretending to be an adult, you guys have fun.

Blake,
Hate to change the subject BUT....
I know plenty of S1W's and X1's with race kits that run 95-97 RWHP now with a little head work I don't doubt that they can run 100.
OK now back to the troll

Dude, hell I dunno. The house must be some weekend track racers, not mine. I'm not sure but I think the fan is one of those Jap cooling fans for the old tube frame Buells.

What the Captain said!

Dyna,
You like many are confused about the 1st amendment. It says...

Quote:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

I don't see anyone here trying to pass a law limiting anyone's freedom of speach. Disagreement and expression of contrary opinion, or even telling someone to "shut up" is NOT a violation of the 1st ammendment. It might be rude, but it is in no way unconstitutional. Capice?

Anony,
Please send me an email explaining why you are posting anonymously. It is not sitting well with me on this topic and with what you are saying.

All,
If you refuse to follow the simple guidelines for participating on this forum. please do not post here.

Spidy,
Show me a dyno. I've not seen any such 1200cc Buells. Making 100RWHP almost always requires a pipe and cams as well as headwork. I cannot recall seeing an otherwise stock Buell with a race kit make more than 90 RWHP. In fact, from what I've seen the 1200cc Buell race kits do not impact peak HP in any significant way. The 1200cc race kits do make a HUGE difference in midrange though.

I stand by my posts on this thread !! Considering some of the posts on this board I don't think there's too many who can comment on the behavior of anyone else. And the few who could, wouldn't.

Of course that's just my humble opinion, not intended to insult anyone. And I strongly disagree with the comment that there is anything the matter with me !!! :)

Blake, have read the 1st amendment before & am well aware of its actual intentions. My point was Troy comes in & just gets a little back & forth banter going on & all of a sudden you have folks sending him e-mails protesting his thoughts. The man is entitled to his feelings & if everyone cant agree with it, too damn bad.

I think flooding his e-mail is childish.

If you really wanted a race bike why would you start with either a Buell or a SV650? For a budget minded racer a UJM IL4 is probably the best starting platform?
For my money the Buell is a excellent street bike and for running around on the back roads the 5 speed gear box and low end torque make the Buell a pleasure to ride.
I confess I don't like track riding (its like running on a treadmill) but for those who do almost any bike sold as a "street bike " will need some modification.

My personal feelings, NO ONE has the right to bash another person or another bike unless they've spent quality time with them or on that bike.

"properly laid", just out of curiosity, what is the definiton of getting "properly laid" from a woman like you Charlotte, if you don't mind me asking......... :-)

Feel free to email me if the answer is not message board material LOL!

I cannot believe that you agree with my theory :-)

All this anger it is all caused by sexual frustration, men are simple ....
Why would somebody get mad about what some
dude says they don't even know, I cannot see how you can get worked up like that.

I didn't even do that on the bashing germany thread!

The buell is not a race bike or a track bike or any bike - it's a buell.
as simple as that.

I bet Mr. Buell himself would laugh at some of these comments ( and at some replies ).

And for those who still feel the anger come to
http://www.arlingtoncafe.com/ tonight , I will be working and we have a hot body contest on tuesdays, anybody that shows up on a buell ( or at least shows his key :-) ) the cover charge is on me !

No one flooded his email. YOU are the one who cried that "One of our most precious freedoms is speech. Now you seek to repress a freedom for which you signed up to protect." Apparently Rick sent him a thoughtful message to which T3 responded. Where you get the ideas about flooded email and violations of free speach I don't know. You been drinking too much Kool Aid again? ;)

Char,
Can you please explain to me how I can know if I've gotten "properly laid"? Feel free to elaborate on the "R" page as necessary. :]
