I have a lil story about bad sales people and dingy dealers ....but it seems to have worked..
here at tilley's we had the slay the dragon thingy. of course nobody showed up because nobody new. I didn't know til the morning I walked in that we were having demo's and the whole t-shirt thingy.well heres where the yankee mobilized against the south. damn war will never be over.
I went into the office at the end of the day and told Mrs. Tilley "you dropped the ball today". she says what do you mean I say well as the director of the brag group don't ya think I could have informed all the group of this , they would have loved to be a part but instead they,ve been snub once again. She said well we put it on the web site, I said where, well it was under the hog link not the brag link. Hell I can't even get them to update that anyways.
I proceed to tell here that I am in contact with over 300 sportbike folks in charlotte and they've been waiting for a demo day some are actually considering buying a bolt or lighting but they've wanted to ride it first.
anyway long story short I had everybody in brag and the charlotte folks email her and tell her how disappointed they were. This was on monday.
Now some of you know what I have been fighting down here to try and get done. I want tilley's to join the ranks of the good dealers like where dave and spidey and a few others are.
well the rock has budged and is starting to roll. They've said yes we need abuell brand manager "me" and we need to get in the game. This monday I have been authorized to order any and all the buell parts we need to have in stock at all times and the meeting with don and robinette and me is going to happen to soon for me to sell them on my vision.
power to the people is all I can say. I thank everybody involved in the email onslaught. I especially thank Dave for his imput and help on this. Dave thank you so much buddy we will soon be brothers in arms.
to let you know once this gets up and running we will be offering high performance goodies from our back room with don's input of course and clothing and aftermarket stuff.
keep the faith things move slow down in the south and change is not taken on swiftly.
I do want you all to know this tho. Don has always been a supporter in buell and has always wanted this to happen they just never had somebody within they're ranks that wanted to take it on.

Well done and well told. Their is no reason, given Tilley's reputation and the excellent roads you have in the area, that you shouldn't enjoy every success!
You did the right thing, the right way. I expect to hear good things.

Buckin A Fubba, way to go. You got UPS there don't ya, cause we like to support Buell Enthusiastic dealers. I had 2 new Buellers ask me where to buy parts this week. "Use UPS and the few good dealers you will find referred to on BadWeb." Looks like we may have a new source for parts. |

I hope it works out well for you. It will be great to have one of the "good" dealerships in my neck of the woods.
