As an update, By owner 69 (Sorry couldn't help myself) satisfied 31 unsatisfied 31% of respondents are not satisfied with their Buell motorcycle. If I were in charge of Buell this would concern me greatly. But I'm not, so that doesn't mean anything. JustJoe |

I agree with X1glider, Have two counts with the first one just being a count to determine if the owner is satisfied with the overall Buell product, the second count to show the reliability issues of the bikes. And I am still laughing at that "tallywacker" comment. Personally I will buy another at some point, however the S1 will never leave my possesssion as it is just way too much fun. Would love to add a S2 to the collection of one. As for reliability, if my bike breaks tomorrow i will just fix the bloody thing and move on. If I am stranded just push it or get it towed, with minimal tools these bikes are servicable almost anywhere. Thats one of the reasons why I purchased one. Chances are it broke because I was doing something to break it. X1 my 6 yr old is pretty handy with a keyboard, How much are you paying? Keep in mind the value your getting by hiring a Canadian considering the value of our dollar. I guess when it come to riding everyone agrees, then again I have only rode with one other Buell as there are only 2 of us here on the island. Oh yeah, Rocket,(this is way off topic) I am a bit puzzled with the ignition timing on my 89 Saab 900s I will e-mail you as your a bit of an expert on those things. |

Do you get bonus points for being: 'very' or 'VERY' Satisfied or Unsatisfied. Leave them off |

We're making a dangerous assumption that the respondents of this survey are representative of the general Buell owner / former owner population. That's the only thing I take issue with here. Do we have more COMPLAINERS on the board? Do we have more die-hard LOVERS / TOLLERATORS? Let's all keep in mind that this is nothing more than a survey of BadWebers (and maybe SACBORG and LABusas folks). As diverse as we may be, people who expend a great deal of time / energy posting anything on a web site are probably outside the norm. I'm not discounting this issue. Just hoping it stays in perspective. -Saro |

2000 M2...unsatisfied...major engine problem at 350 miles, now that i fixxed it i'm having a REAL good time,i knew this was an HD engine when i got it+what kind of relatively low power output i was buying with this type engine. If not for my freak???out of round cylinder problem this bike would be(with all my other $6000 or so mods i've made)my idea of my perfect American hot rod type bike.Nothing but cool.BUT,the question was am i satisfied,no i was not(thanks to this sites K.V. i've made the bike into what i like)when it blows up i might just not fix it,maybe put a glass top on it and use it as a table(seriously, its almost art) |

Blake, the topic of discussion was concerned with disatisfied/satisfied owners. Not reliability of the bikes. Even going by the owners and not the bikes this survey is skewed, obviously theres more disatisfied owners that sold, quit, and left the commmunty and rode off into the sunset. You can extrapolate, or interpolate, or whatever, and if you are happy with your methodolgy so be it, but I for one am not whacking my tally. Paul |

quote: Do we have more die-hard LOVERS ME TOO!!! there are a bunch of loyal buell fans out there. In anything there will be lovers and haters of a product. that doesn't make it a bad product. Buell is a bike that takes a certain rider, and likes for a bike. I myself fit into that nitch perfectly, just like others that ride with me. Those that are so into their buells, GO BACK TO THE RICE BURNERS! what ever bike you like or dislike ride it cause you love it, or don't. |

Current tally by bike is 127 satisfied to 34 unsatisfied (I counted Jilles as unsatisfied.) Current tally by owner is 75 satisfied to 33 unsatisfied Like Vik said, either way you look at it, the unsatisfieds are way too high. |

Thanks Blake for actually confirming that you agree the numbers are way too high. Now if only Buell saw it the same way & decides to actively do something about it. |

Dyna, I think Buell definitely sees it the same way. No more tube frames. Tally the unsatisfied Blast and XB owners. The future is looking MUCH better. |

I agree that Buell has done wonders with the new bikes. I just wish they would treat us owners of the old framers with some sympathy. Give us a hell of a deal on a trade in, something, anything. |
