When you call it a lucky day, when you mention the brand and you see a big grin and you hear AHA instead of WHAT?
When you reach for the last banknote in your wallet, knowing there was still one, and it turns out to be a close-up picture of the V-twin.
When you keep that reluctancy, entering an HD dealership.
When you computer does KABOINGK and you think at aonce: How can I follow the LSR stories then.

Now that's a good one!

You feel like a fighter pilot doing the mandatory preflight check.

You find yourself explaining the advantages of mass centralization, low unsprung weight, and the uniplaner mounting system when people ask about your Buell.

As you stare at the cieling with a half smile your wife asks what you are thinking about and you are so distracted you tell the truth...

"That 2001 shifter will look great on my bike if I polish it".
-OUCH-
She didn't like that answer...

These have been great!:)!:)

For me, its when I'd rather put on the leathers, helmet, gloves, etc. just to make the 6 mile trip from home to work everyday. I spend more time getting dressed & undressed than it takes me to get there.

but I ALWAYS take the long way home

Oh yeah... I forgot:

You're a Buell owner when you have an Erik Buell autographed Tank Clock hanging next to your desk:):):)

You're a Buell owner when you have a Buell screen saver on your computer at work.

You're a Buell owner when you spend your one day off a week riding. that also means your not married:)

I just took my girlfriend for our very first ride together on my Firebolt. She'd only ever sat on a bike twice before - an Ultra Classic both times. She said she really enjoyed it...now I just need to get her into a Rider's Edge program soon so she can ride my Blast!

Another one initiated into the Buell Cult.

You are 6 hours from home driving your car and your girlfriend looks over and asks "why you are leaning into the turns?" You realize at that point you are actually doing it and your response is "I am just thinking how much fun this would be on my Buell!" :)

at this point she doesn't just think you are insane, she knows it. :)

When you're at the bike show and doing a better job of selling Buells than the salesmen working there.

I was at the bike show in Chi-town last year and hanging out at the Buell expo. I was wearing a Buell t-shirt. People were asking me questions about the bikes. After spending a few minutes with them, they were asking for my card and wonder which dealer I worked for. My friends (non-Buell riders) thought it was a gas.

When you get a job at a Harley dealer so you can get discounted parts.

When March comes around you start to twitch so bad you spend every spare minuet out in the garage tinkering with your bike.

So Who is joining me for the Buell 20th Anniversary party? :]

Damn...I'd be there for sure. We should all find a way to get a big anniversary card to Erik. Maybe something that could be sent around the country to each BRAG chapter. here I go opening my big mouth again. Now I'll probably be elected to get the ball rolling

I'll probably make a trip next summer to Milwaukee for the 100th. I'm only 1hr from downtown. My friends from other parts of the country have already reserved floor space at my house for the week.

I like the idea of the card for Erik. We could put up a page and have everyone sign it and then email it to him or print it out and send it to him. Hell, I'll drive to East Troy and personally deliver it. He'd get a big kick out of it I'm sure!

Paging Court....

Do you know what the exact date the first Buell RW750 was produced (finished)? We could deliver the card to Erik on that date.

Dave, Lets talk about logistics.

I know that an actual card sent all over the country would be more personal but the web card would be a hell of alot easier. I'm sure one the the computer geeks on this site could come up with something very cool for Erik. I'm sure Court knows when the first one was complete, good idea to do it on that day unless it's in the winter. It wouldn't be right to deliver it in a truck gotta be on a Buell.

When the two most used bookmarks on your computer are for Badweb and ATC.
When you're sitting in a rest area with a broken front isolator, pissed as hell, and a stranger asks how you like that Buell; and you respond that it's one of the neatest bikes you've ever ridden.
When you decide that you've had enough, and you're going to sell it, then you go out for a 30 mile ride and decide to give it one more chance.
When you put on 5,000 trouble free miles during that chance.

Well all our overseas friends can get there individual groups together and make up 16" by 22" pads and have them sign it. I was thinking about making a large 8' by 11' card and having each BRAG or Buell riders group get a 16" by 22" sheet of paper and having each group put there name on it and the members of each group sign that sheet. And paste it on the lager card. Or make a card that is 16" by 22" and just put all the pages in it like a large book.

Spidey...I agree that it would be more of a "wow" factor to have actually signatures. An 8'x11' card would be rather impressive.

I'll contact Leslie to get addresses of all the BRAG chapters around the country. Then we can send them the 16"x22" sheets with return envelopes. Than we'll be sure to get them returned.

BTW...where's home base for you

You get a company vehicle and still ride your Buell to work.
