Just replaced throttlebody and bike runs better, but not right. service manual says I need to do a TPS reset. Do I need a scanalyzer to do this like the manual says or some other way to do it. the nearest dealer is 95 miles away and can't get it in for another week or so. Any ideas? If I need a scanalyser, where can I get one.

Ingemar, I read on a previous post about Scanalyzer software a person can use on a laptop. The problem is I don't have a laptop. I was hoping to find some kind of hand held unit that would accomplish the same thing.

You can also install the software in a variety of PDA's like Palm Pilots.

I got a hold of a good used laptop today from a friend. I guess this software thing can happen. does the software kit from technoresearch come with the required plugs to connect to service port? Is this pretty user friendly program as I am a computer idiot. I guess i can call Dave at Appletons tommorrow and talk. The price he posted earlier is cheaper than on their site.

Dave, call me. It is Thursday evening and just got in from work and no software to work on my buell. I'll be at the number you have after 8am central time. I thought you said it would be here by today. Let me know tommorrow as I needed it by friday morning at latest so I can reset and go riding Saturday. I tried calling you at the dealer but it was closed already.

Sorry for the delay, when we opened the box, it was missing the serial cable!
I had Techno overnight one to me, it left Appleton yesterday.
