Yesterday, I did the track day at Loudon New Hampshire with the Penquin Racing school. The school is run by Eric Wood, AMA professional and former Buell Factory Rider. I was the only Buell rider there, and it was a shame. The track is tight and technical and just made for Buelligating. The cost was a modest $220. It included a very instructional track walk with Eric Wood, lunch and 6 twenty minute sessions. I hope to see more Buelligans there next year. I learned a lot, and went a lot faster than I dare do on the street. I really recommend this track day for North Eastern Buell riders who want to improve their cornering skills. Their web site is:http://www.penguinracing.com/index.cfm I used the Shawn Higbee agressive settings as supplied by Daves, and Michelin Pilot Power tires: the combination felt very comfortable. The Tires had 4200 miles on them, and they still worked great, I plan on retiring them soon, although they still look much better than the Dunlops did at 2200 miles. They have behaved so much better, and lasted so much longer than my original Dunlop 207s, it's a joke. |

I'm waiting for the CT Buell chapter to get going so we can goto race school. I can't wait much longer. Is anyone going in the near future, except for the weekend of May 28& 29. I'd love to go. Especially for that price. I can't make it this weekend. |
