How long are forks, center axle to the top of the tube, fully extended?

Which ever ones are 32" long. Don't know which models have that length so i can't tell you which ones to measure.

grin -- soorry for pulling your chain, sir -- sometimes that lil devil on my shoulder is out of control --

I'd suggest you spend an afternoon going walkabout at the local dealerships with your tapemeasure -- I'll betcha Triumph's got a front end that'll bolt right on (they seem to use common parts where ever possible, a good idea, methinks!)

I've had most bikes measured and they are all too short, that's the problem with the spine frame, its tall. I thought that the tubers, being older with a different frame design might be long enough. The XBs are too short and there aren't really any tubers on the floors; the ones that are have the forks compressed some due to the weight of the bike. Although I would have been happy with their 45mm forks the old S3's forks were too short and since they didn't really change the frame design the new forks will be too short. You are right about the parts commonality though.

Yah, I felt like we were doing a little vaudeville routine there.
