The light in my clock has gone out and before I remove the fairing, does it have a replaceable bulb. Anyone know what bulb I would need?

Thanks
Tim

Bulb is replaceable, book only shows a part # not the actual bulb . And I’m sure that does you no good.
I’d pull it and go to your local auto parts store. I’m sure you can find one.

No need to pull the fairing. Look under the clock and you will see two wires going through a plastic plug. That is it.

12v 2w T7X
Stanley A1272J 12V 2W T7
They are 1/4 turn, so do not try to pull it straight out!
Also they are about $7 USD each.

NOTE: This bulb is for the original white dial clock, not the replacement clock with a black face.

Bulb part number; 68869-98y

You'd have to try searching the forum, but a while back I posted the information on replacing dash lights with some LEDs I found that were super bright. I only replaced the idiot lights on mine, not the gauges, but I'd assume they all use the same type of bulb. They were pretty cheap, and if you're already in there, it was definitely worth the time to replace them all.

Thank you Upthemaiden,
The original clock used a unique bulb. $5.75 - $16USD each. Ouch!
I have ordered the Stanley A1272J 12V 2W T7, to see if that is the correct replacement.

You stated; "They are #74 bulbs, which I think is the most important thing to search for. The title of the listing is "6x Pure White T5 0.5W COB LED Dashboard Indicator Instrument Panel Light Bulb 74". According to the charts I found online, the #37 bulbs I saw at autozone should also be good replacements if you need some on short notice."

Hey Oldog, it's the link 89rs1200 posted above. Don't feel bad for missing it. I read his response and his quote and it wasn't until I googled, found the link, and read through it a little until I realized the quote he posted was from what I wrote haha.
