So today my buddy and i were out on the bikes and we stopped at the lube for lunch. There was 3 S1W’s in the same place not 20’ from one another. Couldnt get a pic with all three cuz they wouldnt let me take the bike down from the ceiling for a photo shoot  so this is all i could get. But i thought it was cool that these three bikes were together. Pretty sure these are the only S1W’s in Erie and i wanted to share.

That white/blue color scheme has really grown on me. Nothing will ever look as good as the nuc blue/molten orange though! |

I agree. its grown on me too. so much so that I have no desire to swap out with black. it actually looks pretty sweet in the sun with the pearl in there. but ya.. I would change it for the molten orange. that thing looks fast just hangin there  |

so whats the worst that could happen if the belt was too tight but it hasn't moved in nearly 20 yrs? I don't even know if they stored it with any oil. even if they did, would it make a difference sitting for so long? granted, its out of the elements but I imagine there a good layer of grease on everything from the kitchen. I assume a full restoration would need to be done.its quite the shame actually but id like to know because I plan on buying it when they go out of business |

Probably anything made of rubber will be hard and crappy.
Isolators, belt, tires, various seals and O-rings....
But you never know, perhaps fuel+oil and tires would be all it takes?
I would be willing to be the test mule for this experiment.
They should just send it to my house for further studies. |

I believe "Lynrd" was speaking of the White Buell's belt being too tight. |

Even if all of the rubber parts are dried out, it'd still look perfectly good hanging from my living room ceiling. |

The white bike is mine and i can assure you that both belts are on the verge of jumpin teeth.
And that would pretty much be my plan if i were to ever procure this bike. Maybe not hanging from the ceiling but that would definitely be cool in the living room. |
