You'll have to weld in mounting points for the different style bracket..and it would stick out hideously. The seat will need changed as well.

Why not just put on a manta tank? S3 or S1W

Can you do the opposite? eg put an S3 tank (with fuel pump) on an X1? (assuming you've got a separate air cleaner like a pro-series)

I'm wondering if you could, then you wouldn't need the "tank accents" and the extra fuel capacity would be a bonus. Or are the front of the seats totally different?
