Ive been to factories in Shenzhen China where most of our "goods" are manufactured. I can confirm that the photo that Ebutch posted is 120% accurate. That is exactly how they work and how the conditions are, sometimes worse.

My knee doesn't hit, probably would in the event of a wreck. I am 6'2" but mostly torso with only a 32" inseam.

Also a general quality report, this thing really OK. Good for $32 shipped but would not be worth more than $50 to me.

I like the way that the breathers are integrated into the unit. The banjo bolts are poor quality actually all the fasteners are very cheap. The banjo bolts in particular have very small passages. I have a lathe so I may drill them out and increase the size of the cross hole.

I think what I might do is combine the rear plate of this unit with snorkel from the force painted black to match and a smaller K&N filter.

The breather passages in the head aren't really that big.
Of course, more breathing = good.
The real bottleneck is most likely in the engine.

Up-the, shipping is so cheap because the Chinese government subsidizes it.

So, i finally took the bike out for a ride. I live in the north east so i haven't had the chance with the weather. The bike ran great, no different from my force intake, which i expected. I will note on the fitment tho. I am 5'9" 175 lbs and my knee is about 1/2" away from the intake. Normal riding was fine but if i slide forward on the seat, my knee would contact it a little bit. I think it would be fine in a carb install because you wouldnt have the extra 1" spacer for the sensor pushing it out. I am going to leave it for now because it is only rare circumstances that it hits. But if you got some long legs and Fuel Injection then you might have issues

One day I will decide where to post pictures so I can link them.

Update: My knee definitely hits but under normal riding it does not bother me nearly as much as I expected. Really it would only hit when I tuck my knees in. If I sit back in the seat I can avoid hitting.

I am 6'2" and 34-35" inseam.

Honestly, I think it looks so much better than the stock box that I can probably live with hitting my knee from time to time. I would prefer a Forcewinder but just cannot justify the cost right now.

I agree with the cost of the forcewinder.
I think I paid almost $300 back in 2001.
That's a lot of money for a chunk of Aluminum elbow macaroni!
I was single and "rich" back then.
