I have three red ones to add to the Registry: (1)1995 #46 of 86 (for california) build date 5/23/95 with plate, purchased from American SportBike; (2) A 1995 build date 4/10/95 #1123 of 1399 with plate; and (3) a 1995 build date 12/29/94 #690 0f 1399, with signature plate, modified by previous owner to an 88. | ||

Tracked down the original owner of my S2. He has the number plate but doesn't want to part with it  . I'm hoping he has a change of heart but not sounding too promising right now. | ||

^ Just won't sell. Not being a dick. We actually talked motorcycles on the phone for about 30 minutes. I'm hoping to win him over with some kindness. He mentioned that he loved the bike but had to sell it in '97 due to financial issues. He only has one bad picture of the bike. I'm mailing him some pics today. The guy is older and retired. He doesn't have "any of that fancy interweb or expensive phones". | ||

Just won't sell. Not being a dick. Good news that he's not just being a butt about it all, but it strikes me as a little odd, some 20 years after the fact, that he won't part with the kit. I understand the concept of sentimental value and all, but surely he understands how important the kit is to you as the current owner? The following scheme is kinda out there (and complicated quite a bit because he's not 'net- or smart phone-savvy, so I don't know how you'd get pix to him to illustrate the items in question), but I'd gladly give him this...  ...and one of these...  ...if he'll give you the kit.
