Have faith in your own skills, when the bike is finished you won't need tools to fix it a side the road!!!

Can't you create a hollow buble on the back for storage! You where going for that wheren't you?

You are corrct with the tail. But I am struggling with it and how to mount it. Would really like it out of Aluminum but its a bear to curve in multiple directions.
So Its all ideas it is really quickly becoming the last thing to do!

Bend/curve what you can, cut and weld the rest.

Yep would work great but just welded aluminum for the first time and with a freinds spool gun! Not easy and this would need a tig to be nice. Would not mind one bit seing the nice welds like the tank.
Anyone around me with a tig that would like to work with me? I can do the fab and bring the parts to you!

Did you do the print? I have a project that needs a print. But first I need to find someone to do a scan. Most places I have approached are stupid expensive to scan an object less than 3" in diameter.

3D printing is an AWESOME way to prototype parts like this. Well done!

All I have left is a little wiring, Seat , oil lines and oil, and once over then she is ready. Been real busy at work and with house projects so Time has been an issue.
If you ever have a chance read through the links in the beginning of this post Joes Buell this is a pain staking process and takes what seams like a lifetime!

Been workin on her all weekend. All rear wiring is done. Should be able to get power up to test lights but I get nothing. Charged battery, cleaned grounds but still nothing so time to go through everything to make sure with the meter.
Getting close
One question the bolt that holds the newer shifter what keeps oil from coming out should that bolt have sealant on it?

Looking good Ken.
I spent a couple hours yesterday trying to track down that muffler bracket. I was unable to locate it. I might have tossed it in the metal recycle pile in a moment of insanity.

Regarding the shifter bolt. You shouldn't need any sealant on the bolt. The primary cover gasket should take care of it.
The bolt goes all the way through the left primary and through the left side of the center case and into the right side. It shouldn't leak as both the center seam and the primary should be sealed.
However if it does weep a bit, I have used Hylomar. I usually put a drop of Locktite Blue on it regardless.

Perfect
I get oil out if there only when the bolt is not in.

So its been a busy week! We painted our entire down stairs and two rooms upstairs, installed two flights of wood steps and many other house to do's. Throw in the Kids first varsity football game and time to goof off and poof the week is done. I did however get to spend all of today woking on her!!!
All electrical is done as far as I can tell (will know forsure when it starts)
Got the new shock cleaned up and installed
My todo is as follows:
Fill oil and tranny
Fill and bleed brakes
Adjust suspension
Install gas tank
Check all connections and bolts
Finish seat
And a few other little things

Think the instruments will be less "there" and will look good with the coated triple trees.
Some for the back plate of your voltage regulator.
But now i'm just nitpicking
