Well we've done middle, up, down, left, and right. Do we bring it on home to Colorado again?

I talked to Dan and he's down to help out however needed. If people are interested, maybe we could even have a dyno shoot out if we keep it close to home in Longmont? Absolutely stunning Rocky roads about 30 miles away...

I haven't mentioned the dyno idea to Dan yet but I think he would be up for it if people are interested, as he's done dyno's in the past during "meet the NRHS crew" events.

I would be 100% up for an event in Colorado and yes we would do a free dyno shootout here at my shop if desired.

Just make sure this happens in June or July as August is devoted to Bonneville prep.

My brother is in CO, so I will make the trip from NCAL.

I would say, I would love to see a "BUELL" rally or at least a tube rally.

For whatever its worth, the weekend of July 18th or the weekend of June 20th would be my two first preferences. Can also make most alternates too, though. Its mostly up to those who are putting it together, of course. Just thought I'd throw it out there. I do need to pick my vacation slots before the end of November.

I think July sounds quite swell for an event in Colorado.should be plenty warm for some sweet mountain riding : ).

hmmmm wife says maybe, so I may be there with a bike or two and the wife and brand new baby girl... that's a long drive with a wife and a baby though.... I guess if it gets too loud in the car I could take the bike off the trailer and ride while she drives... wonder if I would survive that...

I did that when we came to Colorado, though my excuse was that the bike had to make it here somehow and we couldn't pull a trailer in her car's condition : p.

So have we decided to do 2015 in Colorado then? NRHS is moving to a much larger shop in December so we have plenty of space to host this event and there are lots of motels and a campground close.

Plus NRHS is about to close on being Colorados only EBR dealer soon so I should have at least 1 demo 1190 and maybe we can get the EBR trailer to show up.

Let's go ahead and make this official so we can get the ball rolling. 6th annual S2 Gathering, Round Up In The Rockies 2. New thread incoming this evening. I'm down to get things moving and host it, but also completely down to let someone else in the area do so if they prefer.

June is kind of early here as there can still be a lot of bad roads due to the winter.

I would like to do this on July 10, 11 and 12 2015.

oh man, that's so close to my anniversary, "Hey honey, would you and our 8 month old like to go back to Colorado for our second anniversary...??? its going to take months of planning to pull that off, but she does love Colorado...especially Estes park, loves the RMNP area...so maybe I can pull this off..... 3 or 4 days to get there, 3 days there, 3 or 4 days days to get home, then a few days at home to recover...

its really a long shot for me honestly, all kidding aside...based on distance and brand new baby at that point...but willing to try....

there is so much for non riders to do while you are here:

Estes Park and Rocky Mtn national Park are only about 40 miles away

Denver is about 30 miles away with some great museums and shopping

Budweiser and Coors factory tours (although we might want to do that as a group)

Vail, Breckenridge, Aspen, etc

I see no reason why a significant other would not want to come

1700 miles from home to Longmont, CO....so roughly 600 miles a day.....

3 days to get there, 3 days for the rally, then 3 days to get home, maybe stack a 4th day in the middle, 3 - 4 - 3...then a day at home to recover from the long trip...so all total = 11 days of vacation.... that's if I can pull off 600 miles a day with a baby in the car...

would be great to meet up with all of you guys, check out the work everyone is doing, drink some cold beers, trade a few stories, ride a few miles....

Breckenridge Colorado is where I proposed, and right after the "moment" we went to the Absinthe bar in Breck...Of course Breckenridge has an Absinthe bar...

This might actually be possible, easy to say now though...reality is yet to be defined and will be controlled by the baby and new mother somehow ... I imagine....

But this sounds GREAT!!!

Jeff, we could meet up in KC and pick up KCZombie and run from KC to CO and back to KC as a 3 ship....

I just found out that if we want to try to get the EBR demo truck to show up we need to schedule this for June 26-28.

I guess my question is how important is the demo truck?

Any thoughts on a motel we can get the group gathered at? Not to be snobbish but it would be nice, I think, if we could get the S2 contingent bunked together.

In Longmont, there is a Jade Inn that the reviews say is biker friendly. My ideal motel would be small enough that our group could take it over for a parking lot party. And would have a hottub. And a restaurant in walking distance. Not sure if the Jade Inn meets all those, but its a starting point for the discussion.

Aspen Leaf Motel in Lyons looks like a nice town.
