Spline stripped or outer teeth worn?   S2forever Posted on Tuesday, January 06, 2015 - 12:05 pm:        I am running BDL aluminium for 4 k miles, concerned when it will leave me stranded.   Lakes Posted on Tuesday, January 06, 2015 - 03:43 pm:        A friend of mine has the BDL aluminium 26T on a 96 S1 he has not done a lot of miles but he drag races the bike, so put's a lot of shock on driveline, so i the splines will hold up probably tooth wear i would keep an eye on it. i'm interested to know if the 65 tooth rear sprocket will run with stock belt or is longer belt needed? i think would like to try the 65T rear i think with 26T 61T = 3.7 final ratio 27T 65T = 3.8 .   Koz5150 Posted on Wednesday, January 07, 2015 - 12:23 am:        Stripped splines   Jayvee Posted on Wednesday, January 07, 2015 - 11:47 am:        I've seen two versions of aluminum front pulley, one that's solid aluminum, and there's another one out there with a steel insert for the splines. I don't know who made which, but the insert is visible in pictures of them.
