Not all the 98 tubers had TS heads. All the 99+ did. What color are they? | ||

yes those are thunderstorm heads. The only XL heads to have a -98 cast in them | ||

Yep, heads were black....added thunderstorm heads and pistons to my 97 M2....REX | ||

Color=black is the best clue. Color = black with no highlights on the fins is the best clue. Fixed it for ya. Stock XL heads on '95 S2's were black with highlighted (polished) fins. | ||

For me, looking at the top of the heads is the best clue. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/599726.html#POST1933319 The caveat is that I'm not sure what the Lightning heads look like. | ||

Black heads are also original to the HD XL883R so you need to know a bit more than only the colour to distinguish |
