Sticker on the frame near the head. Engraved into the frame near (or on, can't remember) the steering head. Engine number is a partial VIN. Yes, it should match...just a few missing digits. | ||

Don't go nuts if the motor S/Ni is not the last several digits of the VIN. We had a but of . . . er . . a tiny problem that year. It's a long story. . . I'll not bore you with . . but the VIN and the S/N may not correlate. | ||
