American Sport Bike doesn't carry rear isos for the s2. What is the best source for them?

If Al does not want to sell you the ISOLATORS, JUST GO TO THE LOCAL H-D STEALERSHIP AND GET TWO REAR ISOLATORS PN 47564-86B

I have also been told on this board that the current rear isolators available for the later tubers will work. Some have said they had trim the isolator tab and some haven't.

Its not the tab that needs a trim but rather the side of the isolator that is closest to the downtube of the frame. This is because they have a larger diameter. I've been blowing out the OEM isolators at an alarming rate, riding two up with lots of luggage. The new isolators will, hopefully, solve that problem.

Buellistic,

Is that part# specific to the 1995 s2? Asb said they didnt have a source for them, but that it was a HD part.

This ISOLATOR(s) is a retrofit from the BIG TWIN SOFTTAIL ...

It is in my PARTS BOOK by part number for my 1997 S3T and if you would get the FSM and PARTS BOOK for your YEAR/MODEL BUELL you would see this also ...

LaFayette,

I think you mean the FLT/FXR. Softails don't have isolators.

I believe you can still order the rear left side isolator (L0504.9) from a Buell Service dealer. The right side (L0505.9) is currently out of stock.
If you can't find a right side I could probably help you locate one.

With a slight mod the "RIGHT" and "LEFT" isolators will retro fit on S2's ...

The H-D STEALERSHIP parts persons will say they will not fit !!!

Buellistic,
Yes you can modify the "snubber"on the later isolators to clear the S2 side plates.
It was bugging me because I thought there still a
"Non-snubber" version available.
The 47564-86B is still available (about $40 each).
Fits the S2 with no modification required.
Also found a 'kit' that was offered in the late 90s that contained two isolators and washer - no longer available.
