My S2 has all original front brake components. I recently bled the system with new dot5 fluid. After 3-5 hard 40mph to 0 stops, I began to experience brake fade. The last time I pushed these brakes that hard was on a mountain ride 17 years ago. I suspect the pads since they are 19 years old, but I don't want to just start throwing parts at it. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Fresh brake pads are a good thing.

Maybe it's just me, but with all original BRAKE parts, I would do a complete rebuild. Again, maybe that's just me. It's only my life...

Have to agree with Beardo. The pads are 19 years old...so are the seals in the master cylinder, and the calipers. Rebuilding all of the parts is pretty easy and the parts are cheap and plentiful...

If you are not seeing any fluid on the rotor, start by rebuilding the master cylinder. The rebuild kit is all of $18.00 at J&P
