I put an American Sport Bike frame brace on my S1 many years ago. Does anyone still make one for the S2? I think it would be a good thing to help with vibration control. | ||

is the one from American Sport Bike a banke? I have one on my S1, not sure but a guess here, are the ones for the S1 and the S2 the same? | ||

No, the American Sport Bike is like a clamp on frame tube, not a truss and the S2 has smaller diameter tubing. | ||

Someone from the factory and someone who used to work for Buell both said that the frame brace on the tubers was put in place to compensate for the bent tubing of the front heim joint mount, which the S2 doesn't have (bent tubing, that is) and that the S2 does not need such a brace. | ||

My S2 had a Banke bar on it when I got it used. I took it off today before I took a test drive to troubleshoot an ignition timing issue. Zero change. And it was a spirited test drive, too - since I was checking for ignition ping, I was...um..."less than gentle" with the throttle and really winding it out on the back roads. Lots of twisties, lots of engine braking, lots of deep cornering transitions...bike felt exactly the same as it did with the bar on it. If you're getting vibrations, you may want to check all your isolators, your heim joints, and your primary adjustment. And remember, the S2 will be more vibe-y than any of your other Buells because it has the heavy stock HD flywheel setup. | ||
