Just like the sticker on your back window says: "Life is Good." Best color (IMHO). Congrats. Did I miss the back story of how you found it? |

I had a "sponsor" once, then he went rouge and filled his garage with bikes and could no longer be trusted as a voice of "reason"..the voice that said "buy-it" was no longer just in my head..I actually say that I am a rancher of sorts...two hogs, a couple of geese(2 guzzis), 4 flying horses, a big dog and two trumpets...its better than saying I have a motorcycle problem....I personally am out of the buying business, my garage is filled to max capacity.....by the way CONGRATS...nice find!! more photos when you get it home and share the story...how did it come to be? |

Shhhhhh…. Got it for 1/3 asking price A heads up to all…. He also has a 99 FXR3 Green flames 7k on the clock, asking 9k. That will NEVER happen, I am very tempted to offer 5k, but I am trying to talk my self out of it. I am leaving for Cabo on Sat for 3 wks that Should cool me off…. You better be a good negotiator…. I laid the "harley guys don't want it & the sport bike guys don't want it" line on him for the S2T. Hook line & sinker.. Now if i can get a Black Marlin to bite…. New battery should have been delivered today, will be home at midnight. will install in AM & I am GONE RIDING!!! I will post PIX tomorrow night. Ride Safe Chris |

Screaming deal! I just picked mine up yesterday, same color, but it's the opposite of yours. Complete, but totally sh*t hammered...badley! May hit you up this winter for some detail pics as I am going back to stock with a frame off total rebuild.. Again congrats! |

I was looking in my rearview mirror all the way to the Delaware crossings for TROOPRES!!! Got home tonight installed the battery & took her out for a 75 mile ride. She runs awesome!! I need to flush the brakes in the morning and adress a very loose front rotor. Than hopefully hit the road. What ever you need happy to help. The bike is basicly untouched. |

Chris - if it's the OEM rotor, you probably need wave washers. I think I have a pack, or part of one, out on the shelf if you get stuck. (and I'd swap the tires before doing any serious riding, if they truly are the originals...) Very nice score. |

Joe, Thanks you, I think I will need them. I took a couple off but they looked good, bolts were all tight so I'm out doing my part adding to global warming. The bike otherwise is probably the smoothest S2 I have ever ridden. I am trying to restrain myself with the tires, but it is very difficult. I am up in Harriman State Park clocked 150+ so far ....

Great find! I was wondering about the color match on the fairing lowers. Was that an option at new purchase? I thought all the 96 t models were the silver grey. |

As far as I know it is the orig rotor. It did quiet down a little but I will still need the rebuild kit. All bodywork is original. Also have deep & shallow bags. When I get back fron Cabo I will post pix in all her glory. Ride safe Chris |

Huh. I thought all the S2s had iron rotors. That looks like a later model, but pre 2000, rotor to me. |

I thought all the S2s had iron rotors. Nope! Later 1996 S2's got the same setup as the S1 Lightning (6 button) as a running change. However the majority of S2's did get the iron rotors, 1313 |

First thing I did when I got my S2 was replace the iron rotor. It was in good shape. I'm saving it for posterity. |

My other 96 S2 has the rotor "riveted" to the carrier as opposed to bolted on. |
