what handle bars are you using? they look to be a nice neutral bend with just enough pull back.. everything else I look at for my S1 has too much pull back and hits the tank.
That is so frigglin' cool! The silver swingarm makes it look like the whole powertrain is silver (except the heads...I know.) Orange headlight brackets, black shell. Very complex yet integrated look. To me still the tail doesn't look finished. Maybe like the SR500 rear cowling, or some kind of clubman hump/shell at the back of the seat? Never quite finishes you know.
@Spiess: Sorry, I can't help you with these. They've been hand carved by my dad from a few old fairings of one of his bikes. Basically they're a piece of rounded plastic mounted on a small metal "cantilever" by two rivets each. I just had them resprayed a few years ago. Thanks!
@Jayvee: Thank you. You're right. The tail is nowhere near finished. The original plastic parts have cracked in so many places, it isn't funny. But I really love the comfy seat. So I guess I'll have to try my hand at some glass fiber plastic modeling. And I really miss my orange front brake disc. If I can figure out how to remove the floaters without damaging the brake disc, I'll have that powdercoated.

@S1owner: Thank you, too. My garage is actually one of my biggest concerns. Since my neighbor decided to heap up the ground next to it and the water barrier isn't the best, I've got water in the foundation and walls. And the tiles are slowly getting loose (see wall in picture of oil change above). Hope I'll get that one sorted out this year...
just re-entering the thread, I set up a design to convert to 1 1/8 bars on a tuber and still mount stock gauge panel, Im working with a great machinest to reach final design but have a great set up on the bike now...finally....close to a Ducati monster bend, lots of leverage, good control, nice position...when I hit final version Ill start a single thread on start to finish...
Bleeding the brakes is so freaking easy now, I wonder why I've not gotten them much earlier.
There has even been one day, when the constant rain stopped for a few hours.
Notice the tiny camera below the tank.
A new set of bar end vibration dampers, matching the color of my handlebars. And the plastic guard on the dampers almost matches the LSL crash bumpers lower down at the frame.
A waterproof holder for my phone.
Both the camera and the phone now can be recharged "in-flight" with the USB power outlet.
If only there was less water pouring down on us...
Well, anyways: Here are a few first test clips with the GoPro. Sadly, the quality isn't very good. On the one hand, Youtube really "optimizes" down the resolution. On the other hand, there's too much "rolling shutter" effect due to vibrations.
I'll have to figure out a better vibration decoupling.

@Kc_zombie: That's a cheap sealed unit from the largest German bike store (Louis) for about 20$. Absolutely waterproof but very hard to set the correct time, after being glued to the instrument panel.
@S1owner: I just used the X1 dimensions listed here. As long as your bike is using similar Nissin calipers, it should be fine.

But I got a deal on a few items from a guy parting out his bike. Only wanted the seat for for 80$, but also got the rest from this picture.
I got that same clock. First I stuck it to the aluminum dash. But when it came time to 'spring forward' I couldn't pull the knob out. Had to pry it off to reset the time. Scratched the aluminum, and the sticky was weak now. Just had to replace the battery finally, so this time, I stuck it on the glass face of the tach at about 4:30 (between the 4 and the 5 o'clock positions.) I think I can reset the time with it there. The battery lasts several years but eventually will go, has to be pried off to change. The factory sells replacement sticky stuff, I got some of that.
Had them covers powder coated, like most of the orange parts on my bike.
Actually, I never put the stickers on the rear covers. Always thought that while they were completely silver, they've better matched the swingarm. See picture below, about 5 years ago.
Concerning the headlight brackets, you're right. I wanted them down as much as possible. See picture of original setup from almost 9 years ago.
