I'm beating my head against the wall trying to find replacement throttle cables for a Mikuni HS40 carb on my RS. The existing cables are starting to fray, so replacement is needed. Sudco says the Mikuni P/Ns are RS36/34-A and RS36/35-A, but I'll be dipped if ANY on-line shops list them. Does anybody have a good lead for an on-line supplier? They obviously need to be compatible with the Harley throttle controls, and (I'm pretty sure) the numbers above are for a Harley/Buell conversion from Keihn to Mikuni. I believe the later/larger Mikuni carbs used different cables than the HS. Any leads or insight are appreciated. | ||

Sheesh!! That's them! I Googled, I eBay'd, I searched about every on-line shop and got zilch. I SWEAR!! I Googled about every combo I could think of, and you come up with them in 3 seconds. Now I have to Google it again to see if it comes up for ME. I've been sparring with my dealer, and the web for WEEKS. I SWEAR!! I'm really not the moron I look like right now. Thanks, Wilson. No worries, I just googled the part numbers by themselves with nothing else.  Maybe you were looking at each number together, I can see how that wouldn't give you the same results. Beer it is!  I have some pretty decent google-fu. |
