Well Guys,

After 13yrs of ups & downs (mostly "ups") I need to sell my 1999 M2. Bought her brand new in April 1999 and happily put 36k miles on her. Definitely not problem free, but not too bad, considering. Taken me from the SF Bay area to San Diego twice, with no hiccups. GREAT bike for long distance, and since I added a Ventura Rack system- decent cargo ability, too. Fantastic for 2-up and just a great ride.

I recently upgraded to a 2008 Ulysses XB12XT, so the ol' trusty M2 will be on the market soon. My neighbor's been wanting my bike for a few years, so we'll see if he is really serious!

Market value on the bike is only $2500-$3K : ( - Major Bummer, as it's way more bike than that. Someone is going to get a great bike for cheap!

Long live the Tubers!

why sell a bike that will be able to be run indefinetly and rebuilt whenever needed. IMO an XB will never be as good as a tuber......if in the event of a spill or fall could realistically become a garden ornament if there is any frame damage and then there´s the engine issues i.e tuber cassete type box to the XB complete engine removal and teardown to rectify any internal problems........step backwards if you ask me. Think how that M2 has given you years of use and pleasure. I will never sell mine nor would I consider a disposable bike, however the choice is yours dude and only you can decide. Hope it works out whatever you do

Just some changes in priorities. Starting a new chapter of my life, that doesn't include a garage full of bikes.

Honestly, I don't want to sell it, but my practical side is winning here and by selling off a few bikes, to get down to one, it makes it easier for me to get another motocross bike in the near future.

Long story there that has to do with a compound fracture, and a decision (on my part) to hang up racing motocross.

If I can't get a fair price for my M2, I won't sell it. It's not perfect, or problem free, but looks good, sound good, and rides MUCH better than a bike with a sportster, shaker-motor should!

I wish my bike was half as nice looking as yours. Good luck, and sorry to hear. ( I'm missing a rare 1981 Gibson Firebird for the same reasons ) - coxster

4Traxx-

I don't have any good close-ups, but they are bar-end, "napoleon" type mirrors and they actually work very well. Better than any other mirror I have tried. They bolted right into the stock mounts, and if you find some that don't, get a new bolt and make them fit.

I never thought mirrors could look good AND be useful, but there they are.

Here's the best pic I have of these. They really do work very well, and I got them from the local cycle shop. Right off the rack.
