Has anyone installed a crank case evacuation system to a buell? Basically a hose from the rocker cover to the exhaust to create negative pressure in the crank case. We have it on our race cars and was considering this.

Might that hold the umbrella valves open?

I wouldn't do anything like that.
Just vent it to the atmosphere.
It's easier and cheaper.

I have no idea. This is why I'm asking. I know it's not a ton of 'vacuum' unless the engine can turn 7500 all the time. In most cases, we are running around 4 with a peak of 6 or 7. It really does nothing from idle to 1500 but that was on the dyno with a V-8.

Been running a PVC Valve SET UP in my TIMING PLUG HOLE for years now and have 111,049.7 miles on the engine as of the last ride !!!

PCV valve in the Timing Plug Hole?

Whenever you get time, perhaps you could post a picture of the setup here? Seems like a good idea, as in, more direct path.

Yeah the timing plug PVC sounds like the place where they SHOULD have put the damn breathers on these engines.

I want to know why they thought it was a groovy idea to make the breather bubble up the pushrod tubes past the draining oil from the rocker boxes.

The ONE thing that my decrepit 1979 Sporty does better than my Buells is it doesn't vomit oil on your leg.
It has a reed valve up front next to the generator drive gears.

I have run XB rocker covers with XB pcv valves and run them to a vented catch tank. Then you run plain bolts into the head breather holes. You also remove the umbrella valves.

Using the exhaust to pull crankcase pressure in one of these things is likely to create scavenging issues and lead to wet sumping. The system relies on a certain degree of crankcase pressure to help oil find its way to the scavenge pump. Crazy- I know. steve
