I know this is on recall but has anybody tried tackling this themselves? is it an easy fix?

I have never heard of that recall or problem before?? The only time my throttle would stick is after i installed some different grips and some bar ends. The bar ends were rubbing against the throttle and it would stick like a poor mans cruise control. That has to be one of the easiest fixes.

I found the message above method as best.

A friend also bought out a buell inventory sometime around the shut-down.

I recognised this kit and snagged it.I've yet to install the dual cable clamp to secure them to each other because they need only to be properly adjusted AGAINST EACH OTHER.

I'm CERTAIN the above post by Buellistic descibes the same.READ it

"I have never heard of that recall or problem before??"

I don't think they issued a recall notice for this but for MY 2K+ X1s they did add a small bracket which holds the ends of the throttle cables near the intake in place. I don't think its absence will cause "sticky" throttle unless the end(s) get dislodged which is not very likely.

There was THROTTLE CABLE CLAMP KIT which held the
throttle cables together at the bracket on the carburetor ...

"i" saw this as a SAFETY ISSUE on my 1997 S3T after "i" bought it and safety wired my throttle cables to the bracket on the carburetor ...
