Ok i know it isn't a big deal on this board, but i have had my bike just about 1 month over 2 years, and i just turned 20,000 miles on the way to work. I know it is just cause i work 72 miles from my house, and it is mostly highway miles. But i know tons of people that have 89-96 bikes that barely have 8000 miles. So i am happy. I have a bit more to catch up to Spidy (i think near 40,000) and my father in law is on Engine #2 on his Electra Glide (S&S 101"; ). so i will report back when i hit 50K

mine just turned 10,000, and ive had it three years and 2 months. of course, it was down three months the first summer i had it, and WI riding season length leaves something to be desired. then last year i put on all of 50 miles total. so ive got, like one and a half solid riding seasons. plus, it might be a lot closer to 15,000 (speedo sensor, i dont need no stinkin speedo sensor)

so 20K is doin pretty good. proof of that is on any squid site, the real big shots brag about 15k-20k, here, less than 20k is on the low side.

keep ridin!!!!!!

Very cool

I've done bugger all miles in the last few years (and my riding has suffered because of that) after moving interstate and renovating a house, but now I have a new bike, I think that'll change. Sounds like I have some catching up to do...

of course my bike is on a stand right now, due to my ET sensor going out. 20K miles must have been the magic number. Got the new sensor and hopefully that will fix the problem. we shall see

My odometer says 36,000, but I actually have about 40,000 miles on my 2000 M2. I went through five speedo sensors. After the last one died, I installed the upgrade kit. I hope it cures the problem. Other than that, I'm really happy with my Cyclone.

11,000 miles on my X1 in the first year I had it & that was with the long @ssed winters & 4 months in the shop for repairs.

Coming up on 3000 miles on the R, not bad for only a month & a half.

BlueLightning... get the updated front exhaust header mount on when you fix it to keep it from happening again (if you don't already).

I was able to repair mine in place (rear header stud sheared). I did it by hand, but Jims makes a tool for it, which Jose has (and has been known to loan).

Wasn't an exhaust stud, was the actual head bolt. You know the one that you need to remove the rocker box to get to? It happened when I was on the road. I thought it was just the exhaust gasket, so I limped it home to find that the bolt had come loose. The noise I was hearing when it was running was the sound of the head gasket letting air escape. So I am replacing my gaskets and adding some goodies in the process.....

In a little over a year i have put 7000 of the just over 10000 miles no my 96 S1 (not bragging just stating) and last week end the speedo gear on the wheel went out (got loud , i headed for home thinking the bearings were going, 20 miles later the speedo quit working and the noise quit so i finished the poker run i was doing) if there was a part you would expect to go 100,000 miles it would be the speedo assembly any body else had problems like this?

The speedo cable and drive need to be lubed annually. My 96 S-1 has 46,000 miles on it and has the original cable and drive. We get customers in here all the time with either broken cables or drives and they are always dry!

Just passed 45,000 miles yesterday on my 99 S3T. Bought Aug 1999. I probably have 1,000 more uncounted miles on it due to dead speedo sensors.

52,000 miles on my '98 S3T. Only about 5 or 6 thousand miles have accumulated over the last few years though. I'm happy to say that's gonna change! Oh... and the lack of riding lately is not due to any fault of the Buell.

22,000 on my 2k M2. No real problems except the kickstand switch, rocker cover leak, and a weird electrical problem probably caused by aftermarket turn signals. I kept blowing the fuse that runs the signals and the speedo, but the problem went away as mysteriously as it came.

I recently hit 17,000...I've really only rode it for two years...the first year I owned it I rode it illegally. I've been lucky...the last few years I've been but 5 miles from my place of business. I only travel long distance when I have to.

I should turn 40K on the motor in my S1W before she goes into storage. The powertrain is actually out of an S3T but it looks better in my S1W.

My S3T (with it's original S3T motor) is closing in on 25K.

37K on my S1W, but it's been stalled there since the No Winen tour weekend. Blew a base gasket behind the pushrod base, thought is was the pushrod base itself leaking, just finished replacing them only to find the problem is still there. So it's still stalled at 37K

27K on the 99S3. It's been virtually flawless, except that it has broken the front motor mount bolts twice. Just put a Nallin front mount on it, hopefully that is a thing of the past.

Mileage is accumulating slower now. I live closer to American Sport Bike than I did to my old workplace, so commuter miles are stacking on slower. And A.S.B keeps me so darned busy working on motorcycle parts, I don't get to actually ride the darn things as much any more : (

'00 S3T just turned 20k miles. Had most of the build quality issues typical of early 2000 bikes (rear shock, rear isolators). Rebuilt rear brake caliper because of sticky piston (looked like a high spot on the piston). Mostly fixed a partially melted ignition switch. Upgraded to 5V speed sensor which almost cured the trip odo resetting during key on (see ign switch).
