I used to have a photo copy of the exploded view of the X1 inverted Showa forks from the parts book. I'm rebuilding the forks, and of course cannot find that paper now that I need it.

Could someone scan up a copy or print a copy, please? Or barring that, sell me their old copy of the parts manual for a 01 X1.

I know Oldguy, or is it Oldman, I forget, anyway, I know he did a very thorough documentation a few years back, but i can't find it in the archives, and i've spent some serious time digging. Maybe I just didn't use the right combination of words for the search tool...

Thank you.

Yeah, I just can't find it though... I did find a reference to it, but sadly, there was no link.

Sorry I bunged up your screen name Jim. I should be able to remember it, you've been on here long enough for me to know that you posted it. It was a very nicely done walk through too, grrrrr.

Saved in favorites!

I need to do the seals on the forks of a Blast soon. Pretty much the same schtick, right?

Okay, forks are rebuilt and installed.

Putting wheel back on, now have a gap between wheel spacers, and the fork leg bases. Seems odd since I don't recall this issue before. I'm open to suggestions, I don't have an X1 service manual so don't know the proper reassembly and torque values for putting the wheel back anyway.

Shall I just tighten the pinch bolts on the right side, then crank the nut down on the left to draw the sliders together?

Could it be my front wheel lift? the forks sit on pins that go in the holes at the bottom of the bases. I am considering just dropping the lift out, I've still got a bottle jack under the motor, it's just kinda precarious and I don't want to crank anything down with it up like that...

Your help will be appreciated, I really want to re-assemble this bike and get it registered. It's been a year since I've put any miles on it.

Okay, got the spacers' issues sorted. Just need torque specs por favor.
