I'm not suprised to see that price for an very clean S1W tank. It would cost more than that to buy a used tank and have it professionaly painted with the S1W pearl white paint. It's an expensive 3 coat paint process. Not to mention that Sikkens no longer makes the paint.

Wow - that's a price!

Let me ask fellow Ice White Pearl types, while this item has our attention:

Are your IWP items kinda greenish tint, when not in bright sun? Sometimes I think the guy who re-painted the tank on mine for the PO put a drop too much ice green in the mix.... other times, it seems to blend right in with the rest of the stock parts, like the front mudguard or side panels. I have never seen another IWP bike "in the flesh," so I have nothing as a reference.

So it would cost you more than $472 to buy a tank and have it pro painted? Yikes...who's painting your stuff...a Ferrari factory? lol.

$50-100 for a tank.
$150-250 for pro. paint job.

Fahren,

i've heard that over time the tint or shade of the tank may change a tad, due to the gas? at least i think that's what i heard.
