I have a line on some Stage 3 heads, but I am thinking that they aren't the best for the street and long trips, yadda yadda...Mostly for non street use.

What's the opinions? The heads are already done, just waiting on my ok to purchase.

IIRC he was running .643 cams. I'd only need to run .536 cams for my purpose.

Worth it or just stick with the XB stock heads I have?

.536 cam + stage 3 head = probably not good, just my two cents, but matching engine components is the number one most important thing when it comes to engine building. smallish cam and big heads never works good. the air will be just moving through the head in a large volume instead of being accelerated.

now i have never built a harley twin but the basic engine theory applies.

A well built engine is more than the sum of its parts, ie they all work together

stage 3 heads are racing heads
If your m2 is to see "general" use and not be used as a track bike then I believe that I would not purchase them but simply do a set of xb heads,

I have some nicely ported heads by Cyclerama no huge changes, but potential for better performance.

Thanks all.

Jim, check your email...Sent you one the other day.

Anyways, here are the heads I was pondering..$400 right now (not my bid), and no reserve...That's a great deal there.
