Time for new tires on my x1 and I'm curious if anyone has an opinion on these tires. The bike is mostly for commuting and some twisties seeing as I live in florida and there's not alot of hills and turns. Thanks for the Help! | ||

I run them on my S2 and have been very pleased. I haven't had them on long enough to get a good read on lifespan, but I like their characteristics in all conditions - wet traction, dry traction, superslab and twisties. Hell, we rode it 2-up at Homecoming on the "parade lap", passed a guy on a VRSC on the outside of one of the turns, and crossed start/finish at over 100 on 'em. | ||

I turned about 6k on the rear of my Uly and the front still looked great with no cupping. I beat the hell out of them up at Buelltoberfest and the never missed a beat. I will run them again... | ||

I LOVE them on my X1. Came across them by accident.Glad a fellow Badwebber offered them to me.Only put a few thousand miles on them,so i can't tell about how many miles i'll get.They stick like glue  | ||

I will stick with the continental race attack and road attacks they are so good in cold hot and wet traction, I used them at 22 degrees and went into a corner a little hot more than i would normally and the tires stuck it so well i was impressed ALOT!! Michelin is a great tire but to spendy for my taste! | ||

6K is what your gonna get on the rear 10-12 on the front. You've already bought them so why ask for opinions now? Ride-em and form your own opinion. Your right Bird they are spendy! | ||

No I haven't bought them yet. I wanted feed back first so I could make an informed decission. The Contis came in more money than the michelins. I'll have to double check the prices so I dont get screwed. Thanks for the help Gents. My decission is definetly between the PRs and The R.Attacks. | ||

Prices vary significantly from region to region depending upon inventory. I got a Dunlop Roadsmart for the same price as a Conti so I went with it. I REALLY like these Dunlops. I also like to go with more popular brands so I don't get an "old" tire that sat in a warehouse for too long. You won't go wrong with those Michelins... | ||

Sorry for the misunderstanding. IMO the michelin product has its benefits, but it's all subject to a nubmer of variables, your weight, riding style, road conditions, temps, humidity ect. so again buy-em ride-em and form your own opinion. For example, I don't ride hard, my roads are abrasive, the temps here are high, and the roads are slick, so I am partial to Battlax tri-compound. They provide long wear and good adhesion when I need it. So ride and see, but ride! |
