Hmmm...All the S2 signature series stuff says that there were a total of 2,147 S2's built...Now this says there were only 2,130 S2's and S2-T's...

Still there were fewer S2's than S1W's...

any idea how many S3 in 99?

I believe the 99's are lumped into the S3 amount. They did not list #'s per model per year. Perhaps someone that has #'s from the factory could answer how many of each were made a year.

I'd bet there's more S2's still around than there are S1W's.

I see more M2 bikes than any other flavor around here. That is why I thought they made more of them than X1s.

Up here in Maine there is a good mix accross the board. Of course Nate could not vouch for that.

Any idea on how many '02 S3T's were produced? I would be curious to know how many Orange/Volcano S3T's Gray bikes were produced as part of the run. I think I will keep my S3T since the dealer only offered me $4600 trade on my new Uly. Better deal buying outright anyway!

Keeper, you should know that green is bad luck thats why they still have it. S1(w) is treatin' me good. If I was in the market for a newer bike I've been thinkin bout' a FXDX w/ 6 speed and inverted forks.

Ive been kind of looking at some things in the FXD side of things but real unsure at this point. Can only afford one and don't know if I really want to move away from Buell. MAybe keep the Blast but get one of those might work but oh I don't know I'm so confused.

uhhhh... yeah that little dash after the 2000... thats what that means.! If we all had the $ we'd have a fleet. But no green bikes. They blend into that beautiful Down East scenery.

I called Buell customer service and inquired about the production numbers for the late model S3T.

2000 351 produced

2001 165 produced

2002 245 produced

Total production for this model in three years 761.

WOW! I'm hanging on to my 2001 S3T volcano grey with nuclear blue frame and wheels! Only 165 were made in 2001!!!

At 761, that would make 989 for the years of '97, '98 or about 494 each year....seems a little high looking at the later numbers. It would be interesting to know if the BMC kept numbers on the '99 models that left the factory with the touring options. Perhaps the 989 includes the '99 year as well - Just guessing here.

PS - Blake, thanks for cleaning up the #'s

Welcome. It was actually a super easy task via cut and paste from your post into Excel then a quick "text to columns" operation, then a cut and paste into the \table{} formatting tag. : )

Thanks blake...

Now to set up owner sign ups to log who has what bikes?

S2's
S1's
M2's
etc....

I always thought it would be neat to have the chart that people could go in and include their bike, and then there would be a program that would put a star on the map...we could see where a lot of the buells reside..? just a wish...rex

wouldn't seem to be too hard considering that 1/3 of the numbers up there are probably owned by the people that reside on this board, but then again I've seen three buellers in cowtown and haven't heard any of them chime up in here.

X1W was only made in 2002. Not sure of numbers.

That Blast! engine in an S1 frame reminds me alot of the first prototype.
