Chevy.... not yet... no... BUT, been working on putting something together, a complete wet system. Money is a factor, thus, its not moving along very fast. Probably wont get anywhere until after summer, once I am back home, and have some access to a dyno... Chase |

yea, ive checked prices, from 400-700 for nx kits, depending on dry/wet, etc etc... im thinking just something very conservative, like a 25 shot. just enough to make a change, the bottle will make people tremble in fear anyways. all i gotta do is sit in the parking lot and act cool!!! haha... might not be fast but my shit shines! parking lot pimpin!!! |

Hide the bottle. The element of surprise will be half the fun. |

How much life can you expect out of a motor that was not built from the ground up for nitrous? My impression is that it beats up the bottom end pretty badly.Someone with experience rather than impressions would be appreciated. |

Well, life span is sort of relative. It depends on so many factors... The user, the size of the hit, how often, how long, etc... The bottom end can get pretty beat up, but, its usually the rings, and piston that let go first, usually due to detonation, and running lean. I have burned holes in pistons, broken ring lands, fried rings... I have only had one rod bearing failure, and that was in a car... NOW, again, the use and how often, will dictate life span of parts used... The occasional user(drag strip use on a daily ridden bike), with a 30-50 hp shot, is gonna last longer than the kid with the 25 shot using it like its going outta style... NEXT, the factor is going to be tuning. if you dont know 150% what you are doing, let someone who has nitrous experience help you, or do it for you. Hope that helps a little... Chase |

i will be having a pro do my tuning. and will be updating the fuel system if needed. I have nitrous on my blazer (150 SHOT) and am WAY past the point of hitting the button off every stop light. its mostly for looks really. just to be different. |

chevy, Edelbrock sold a NOS kit for EVO engines. Or you can drill and tap your own manifold, pick up the noids, lines, spray nozzle w/ jets , fuel pump and a sneaky pete bottle. Then find a place to hide and mount all that stuff. |

Dan, there are alot of kits for HDs out there. You can put together your own as well. Just need to feed fuel and nitrous in proper ratios, easiest is just use a button to trigger, use above 3500, need a separate fuel pump to supply fuel solenoid, start with small jets and make sure your a/f ratio is good under nitrous. Colder plugs are a good idea.Fuel jet should be about 4 sizes larger than nos. |
