The speedo on my 99 S3T stops working when it gets warmed up.

Lights on the speedo and odometer still work (odo doesn't change), but the needle doesn't move.

It is an electronic speedo, would it be something as simple as a sensor, or is the speedo itself buggered?

The sender went out on my '99 after 60,000mi. I ordered a new one from American Sport Bike and got it fixed a week later.
I figure that extra 300mi. I rode with the dead spedo won't mean much.

You got about 56,000 more mile out of yours than I got out of my original.

Yes, it is the original sensor and the bike has about 6500 miles on it.

I haven't ordered from American Sportbike before, now's my chance.

Thanx

I found it on the web site. $55 + shipping.

That compares to $80 canadian from my local dealer. (+ 14% tax)
