Couldnt find much in the search dept. how many people are running their bike with no front pulley cover? is it safe? i like the look without it, but i dont want to loose a pair of pants or my foot! | ||

I ran my S1 without one for a while (because it wasn't there when I bought it), but I lost two pair of jeans and a shoelace to the sprocket. Decided functionality was more important than looks. | ||

I also lost a couple pairs of jeans to the front pulley - even with the aftermarket covers .. with footpegs in the stock location, you need the full stock cover - I modified my stock cover to work behind the aftermarket one to prevent this on my M2 (already bought the aftermarket cover - then found up it's a jean eater) - the S1 wouldn't care if it had one or not since it has rearsets ... | ||

no front cover on the MaDeuce for 35K miles -- no problems a course, my boots are outside my britches | ||

Why don't we talk about options? I have used the stock one and painted it grey to match the engine. I currently have a carbon fiber piece on. I bought a piece that is molded to the round shape of the engine and I would like to get it chromed to keep a smooth look going. When I have the time that is... | ||

Put around 14000 miles on my S1 without having a pulley cover. I wear boots while riding 90% of the time though. | ||

no pulley cover,, no problems,, but mine is of the s2 era,,, side plates,, helps keep things out of the way.. | ||

Been riding for a few years with out the cover with no problems. I do have footpeg risers though. I wear loose pants but always tuck away my laces since I caught one on a peg and almost fell over at a stop light. I just put the round pulley cover on that American Sport Bike sells and think it looks much better than the bare pulley. |
