pretty cool shop Oldog.I recall your project with powdercoat.I only wash mine with car soap now.Even S100 wheel cleaner is bad for my PMs.And when i need a shine i break out the Never Dull wadding polish with great results.But labor intensive.I couldn't polish this one out back in November '04.I was so bummed by what my wife did to it i bought the '05 12r.But all is good again with the X1
Wasn't there a pic once of your trash bin diving for old parts?? HEHE |

That is VERY Nice.
I got mine to come out VERY SHINY.. No scratches or bad spots really that I can tell...
Although... THAT being SAID... I DID.. spend 6 hours on EACH rim.
Really !!!.... No joke... I did it over a 3 day period when i was BORED... I am waiting on the title transfer out of Florida... and said... what the hell... I have a few days.. lets detail the CRAP out of this Buell..
About 6 days later... I had the tail section done as well and a COMPLETE service with ALL fluids INCLUDING forks and new brake pads all the way around.
She is RUNNING VERY strong and the title should be here THIS WEEK...
Of course.. I love my Black X1 to... something about being black and mysterious

I pieced the body off ebay everything was cheap because I bought scuffed, crappy pieces that no one wanted. My Line-x guy was happy to do it for $100 if I gave him pictures to hang in his shop. It is some tough $hit! Looks okay too... |

Nice bikes folks! Still can't find a reason to trade up to an XB!!! (Though I'm wondering about how to justify another bike in the garage, one which is better for two up...)

My wife was riding it.She came around a hairpin a little wide.A van came from the opposing side a little tight.My X1 front wheel got stuck in the van's rear fenderwell.It's 100% again,but needs tires |
