Can someone with the Race Exhaust on their 99+M2 send me a photo if the rear mounting ? The 2 straps/hangers that are used are no longer available, and I don't have them. Can someone with this setup take some measurements (length, width, thickness, distance between mounting holes, hole size) and also the photo would help.

I have the header on, went on nice and easy, even with the S.E. gaskets, all in all took about 10 minutes to swap the old with the new. While lining up the can to get the proper mounting I realized the straps/hangers that a friend of mine made me (based on his mounting straps/hangers in the rear off his pre 99 tuber) won't work, not long enough.

Any help would be appreciated.
Brian

I have the mounting instructions (somewhere). Give me a FAX# and I'll send it to you tomorrow. I also have the the mounting straps themselves (sorry, not for sale). I can measure them and post a pic if you like, or I can FAX a scaled drawing of them.

The instructions I don't really need, but I'll take them anyway, the photo and scaled drawing with all dimensions would be great. PM sent with fax number.

I am holding my breath at the moment as one dealer told me no, but another dealer is saying yes, they can still be ordered. But in the meantime, especially if that isn't the case- I could use the info, if you get it for me tomorrow I can get mounts fabbed up prior to this weekends plethora of riding planned.

Thanks a lot !

Could you post that info, please? I am about to mount up my Race Header, ( this weekend maybe ) & I'm not sure if the way it's mounted should be changed to reflect new knowledge about keeping the darn things on. Thanks.

The info on the mounts I'm looking for aren't specifically related to the race header .. the parts you need for mounting the header are p/n S1120.G (clamp) - p/n S1121.G (header support bracket/shoe - when mounted the shoe portion is to the rear of the bike) - and I think your bike probably already has the updated version Y front exhaust bracket as opposed to the L bracket on earlier models, the new part number was stock on 2001+ models, so you should be fine there, then the exhaust gaskets, there is some debate on which to use, but the Screaming Eagle are the ones that are meant to be used p/n 17048-98.

If you are also using the Buell race muffler, then you need another clamp -p/n S1120.G, and two mounts for the rear - p/n S0123.2C.
